The basic game has a lot going for it. Nice graphics and environments. Rogue playstyle good. Upgrades good. It seems a bit simple in some of these areas but hopefully some updates will expand on the basics.
However, the combat is dragged down by lag (maybe make a low-graphics option or streamline the engine) and the weapon types are really imbalanced. Some are easy, some are a joke. Targeting is, excuse the pun, hit-and-miss. It would be nice if the targeted object/enemy would get a red outline when you'll hit it. I don't mind the current hitboxes, but it would be nice to know if you're in one. Also, having SOME health drop would be welcome, especially early. Even one or two points occasionally.
This game is difficult for no other reason than bad programming. Once you learn how to somewhat work around it, it's playable, but it's really unfortunate that what could have been a really nice game is kept back by bad pathfinding, bad interface and arbitrary limitations. Castaway 2 definitely fixed some of these problems. The Hard badge for this game is a time sink as you really need to overlevel by grinding to overcome the bad combat. Also, your pets will die - a lot. Level your EyeGuy safely and grind with him and use leveled hatched pets to do boss runs, in which you will probably lose them. 3/5
Tips for Badge: 1- First three or four tries kill as much as you can and find all three "shop" characters. 2 - Select healing potion and double money and save up for 500 armor 3 - Save up for 350 sword. Don't bother buying lower level stuff. You don't need the best sword. 4 - Use boss potion and song set to defense. 5 - Kill bosses. Should be easy at this point. Recharge potion by killing a few things on your way to the next.
Pat34lee: You don't need to physically line them up, but you need to click on the correct letter orientation that makes sense. Doesn't matter where the balls are in relation to each other.
I can't even get past the tutorial. It's either not registering my keystrokes or the timing is so horrible that there's no way the game is playable. 0/5, sorry
Mdzl: it has to do with the weapons equipped. Ranged weapons/spells will stay at a distance and melee will rush in. When you pick heroes, just worry about their base stats. You can change their combat role by re-equipping them.
Thanks, my fingers are crossed!
