Are there exactly 27 challenges, or does it stop giving them out once you pass wave 30? They're a good source of extra income, without which the game starts to give pretty poor ROI ("I just brought peace to another entire wave and the game gives me a pittance toward the next upgrade I want").
Very difficult puzzles. 5/5, neat concept and decent execution. I'd like a way to exchange pieces in the grid by dragging one on top of another, also it'd be nice if the "hit target" for a square were larger (so pieces "snap to place" more easily), but very playable as is.
I saved Christina first, for several somewhat obvious and maybe less obvious reasons. Fun little game; I like how the exact same level maps can be used in 2-3 different ways. 5/5 - short but a good game.
HUGE amount of rubberbanding going on here. You can do really badly and then still show a second-place finish, or you can do almost perfectly, and then still end up with... a second-place finish. Not sure if that's so good it's abusable, or so bad it makes the upgrades pointless...
Is there anything else to do with your money once you've upgraded everything (or everything that your characters' levels permit)? The game's still highlighting the "Heroes" button as if there's something to do, but I can't find anything.
Please can 'p' unpause? I keep pressing p to unpause, which appears to do nothing, and then I click Resume, which unpauses for one frame and then repauses because I hit p. 4/5 due to that and a couple of other interface issues, otherwise a good game.
@acmer: The weapons are definitely optional. Spells are fun though, especially when you get the top end ones! When you fire a spell every 50 matches instead of every 5, it's less annoying, and the spells are ubercool.
Ouch. Please consider those of us who game on 1024x768 screens! It's annoying enough to have the entire width and height consumed by the game, leaving none for framing, but this game consumes more screen space than I have, forcing me to scroll just to see the edges of the display. Not happy. And I don't intend to put gaming onto my big screen, because I prefer to isolate Flash to my laptop.
I played and enjoyed the first game. This one - two comments: Firstly, the new bomb types are cool! Love 'em! Secondly, being able to upgrade the thing you're about to see (rather than being forced to do a level w/o upgrades) makes them a LOT easier. I had heaps of trouble with the Wave level in the first one. Loving the sequel!
You get to drive a car that's way better than anyone else, yet you never turn up to qualifiers, so you always start at the very back of the field. Smart thinking, driver! :)
