Is there anything special that happens when you get all gears? I ask because there's a glitch in my save. I collected all gears, but the status on the bottom of the "Level Select" menu shows I only collected 3/4 from Outskirts.
Ah, found the issue. Don't worry, there's nothing wrong with your save file; the indicator on Outskirts 18 sometimes doesn't show. Will fix this immediately, thank you reporting this!
I love seeing this game again, but I wish you would lower the heath of the final ninja boss on Level 14. After doing all the work to get through 49 waves, killing the last ninja before he touches the gems depends too much on luck. I love all the other levels!!
I really like this kind of game. It reminds me of the old Nifflas games in many ways: very hard, and nerve-wracking, but not in a frustrating way, but also beautiful and atmospheric. Well done!
After you get the standard ending, you can get the good ending by going to the secret race locations (buildings with green gems). Use warps to get there. They are located at: 1) West and Up from the Blue building, 2) East from the Yellow building (look carefully at the air nozzles right after the checkpoint), 3) Up from the Red building to the next checkpoint, but then go West (not up) and fall down and West all the way to the ocean (see the nozzles on the water?). The sum of your race times has to be less than 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
I noted before that it's possible (once you're maxed out) to finish levels 1-14 using only a single tower. For Level 15, I've gotten as far as Level 37 with a single tower. If anyone can do better, let me know!!!
You don't have to grind. Try again from the beginning. If you choose your skills correctly, you can make it through everything with at least a "good". Then if you go back to old levels, you should be able to make "brilliant" on everything, including the last level. I've gotten all "brilliants" by level 20. The meteor improvements are important for getting the final few brilliants. The trick is figuring out what improvements aren't that important to get!
Updating to my previous comment: the challenge is to finish levels 1-11 using only one tower, and finish levels 12-15 using only two towers. It's possible!!
It's possible to finish all levels except Level 15 using only one tower. It may be possible to finish Level 15 with only one tower, but I haven't been able to do it yet, and it seems like it will require a lot of luck.
