@postbill07 - Although I wouldn't rely on offline mode too much perhaps there's a way to better ensure it works... I'd recommend refreshing the game/page to try and ensure the game is active, your kongregate is logged in, and it registers the game at that point before you go offline. I wish it didn't require the use of a server (for anti-cheating), as that would probably fix some of the problems. I kinda also wish the game was re-written as an actual program not relying on Unity so it wouldn't use anywhere near the resources it uses now.
Sadly the online-check is needed otherwise people would just close the game, set their time to some days in the future, go online, rebirth and repeat.
With a stable connection and if you are not in powersave-mode it should work to almost always though.
As for rewriting the game, sorry I don't have the time to do that. Also a big problem with the ressources it uses is that the game has a lot of different stats and skills which interact with each other and are calculated 33 times a second. That would also use up a few ressources on a different plattform unless I make everything slower, like only 1-2 calculations a second.
@Kiljaedenas Go to Other->Stats, it will have a lot of information on how long you've played, monuments made, etc. A tooltip will appear when you hover over the statistics. The cap says it's calculated by 2 multipliers, the Max cap is based on the highest level of god you've beaten. I've beaten a Lvl2 Baal, so I have 1 Billion for a cap (only halfway to filling it up).
@Muggsleng - It's a one time use consumable which boosts your clones while fighting super beings after creating a planet. They add 50% to either offense or defense (per BP) for a single fight.
That's weird... Got up this morning after 7 hours and went to add more creations to my divinity generator, however it seems it still had 30 minutes to go. That shouldn't be right since it could only hold just shy of 3 hours worth. The game was on AFK mode and my system IS under load while it recompresses large images... Although my computer also tends to be on power save mode (low power). How strange...
@RYU82 - I'm sure he's talking about the minimum level in order to unlock the next one, as they each require 500 levels higher up until the end at 15,000.
@sunrider89 - They multiply your stats by a value *monuments* upgrades. The first monument I think the value's 30 for physical, while the upgrades add something like 300 to the multiplier. They also add towards your statistics multiplier in the other->statistics screen.
@RYU82 - No, the game stalled. It just stopped responding and wouldn't even react at all. I tried reloading the game, restarting the browser, even destroying my local save and relying only on my notepad export. The problem went away only when I logged out of Kongregate. That suggests it might have been connected to your online/offline verification for anti-cheating. Maybe my login certificate was too old and it never got past that step. I don't know, but it seems to work now.
With this much info it is hard to tell but probably not. It doesn't really matter where you are but it is always possible to beat the next higher god within hours at the beginning or later after beating baal within a few days.
@Jezdex155 - For an idle game, that may be excessive. If he is an artist, maybe he will do it, but few idle games are actually that action oriented. New poses might be nice extras but would be a lot of work for no benefit other than an avatar portrait. Just my opinion, I wouldn't expect animations...
@RYU82 - definitely. Perhaps it formulates into the story of the god/goddess on the way to becoming the ultimate being and what their story is. Maybe a few of the passages could emulate the bible, like when creating a planet it would be 'and the god pulled the elements together and formed a planet, and it was good. The planet attracted the plant eater, a formidable foe...', perhaps multiple stories for each portion, a mini-story for finishing all training in a tab, in creation, battle, etc. These would probably be entries that don't specify a required chronological order.
@RYU82 - Hmm.... Sounds interesting for lore... Maybe you could write some lore, a small book or a few chapters? That sounds like it would be a very fun and interesting read.
Hm not that I think aboout it, it might also be fun to write some lore about the game. Not sure if and when this will be finished though. I never really wrote something like that.
I will write down a bit more about it from time to time to my notes from now on and put it together sometime in the future. Maybe something like a small lore of a few passages after each god defeated.
@thane5001 - I think it's intentional. All other areas you have a number of clones you can send off, creation you can't. I know you can send clones (and yourself) for the ultimate beings later (where I'm just starting to get into) but that's not quite the same.
@Quizer - Good suggestion! I can't count how often i'll have idle clones because they finished early, or i slept in an hour and can't give them something to do for a while. Although i do wish you could assign clones to help with creation tasks...
@sunrider89 - It will boost his 'physical' stat. There's 4 primary stats, Physical, Mystical, Creation and Battle. Creation is the only one your god can only do, and you'll always be making something (unless you're fighting a god). When your physical affects your hitpoints and some of your attack power. Once you get a high enough level in running, you can move onto other skills. Hint: They grow by 500 for each level.
@Zorfian - yeah maybe... After a few rebirths when you can kill a good number of gods quickly and easily that you just auto-buy and start building towns and get everything avaliable, then start your monuments, then let it build up and get the required created in order to get the multiplier bonus. Once maxed at the multiplier, buy a billion of it (if you can, once they get expensive that isn't an easy option). For the longest time i've been making towns or continents, and buying oceans to feed back into the divinity generator.
@postbill07 - Monument upgrades will have an effect on rebirth, except for every 4x upgrades you get 1x to rebirth (up to 5x, so 20 is optimal for rebirth).
@LukeLuke204 - What is your 'Next At' setting (or training)? Also under other->settings what is you're 'ignore count'?... First guess your Next At is too low, turn it off or make it a lot higher manually.
@ilhamburger - If it helps any, i sent clones to their deaths in fights for 6 hours or so until i maxed out my 100k clones. Alternatively you can just create clones rather than wasting them off, but you get clones faster during fighting since 20 defeated and 20 created = +2 max vs 20 created (could have been) = +1 max.
