sigh... the last 3 pirates of 101 made it through... wasn't paying attention... almost made it without losing a single life... 334280 score, some obvious refinement points, made some obvious mistakes that I didn't notice until halfway through.
Show us booby trap badge first time through hard mode... Should be changed to medium... Most of my points was from a single column of traps, left swing facing right swing, trigger together, every pirate they hit gets a 120 point combo.
the problem isn't the turn buttons needed to be changed to L's and R's, more easily they just need to be rotated 180 degrees so the arrows go over the top instead of under the bottom...
after typing that, I think I figured it out... Damage Per Second if all attacks hit, so the speed rating basically means whether it's alot of damage each attack, but there are fewer attacks, of if there's hardly any damage per attack but there are a ton of them to make up for it
Auhor says attack rating is DPS... Is that damage per second, or damage per strike? If it's damage per second than the rating of slow, medium, fast doesn't mean anything... slightly confusing...

You can become a star? awesome! I just turned into a gas giant on lvl 2:-) @mystic: Some planets are bigger than stars, google it. The biggest planets are around 20% bigger than the smallest stars. The stars still have them in terms of mass, but actual size, big planets are...big... - What I'd like to see is the biggest planet orbiting the smallest star, now that would be a funny star system...planet bigger than it's star :-D

Otherwise awesome:-) Just time your jumps to where if the game sticks (frequently) you land before running, jumping, or blasting into a spike wall or massive pit of death. The gun creates too many instances of that beam, freezes flash. Should create a single animated image instead of constantly generating new ones a hundred times per second...
