A more durable net would be handy, such as a cage. I don't have enough cotton to make them myself and its a pain to keep buying them 10 at a time
Try injuring the enemy you want to catch first - if they are down to 1hp, you're almost guaranteed to catch them (depending on the enemy).

I went to one of the ToN games because it was on the homepage. Once, I saw that it was a series, I decided to to play them through. First one did not disappoint :)
