Great Game. I like how you reduced the need for spam clicking, and still had the crops as a bonus for active players. Auto Water/Picker might be nice in Episode 2, but not the early game. Good game but short so you won't have a lot of repeat plays.
It just isn't fun, mechanically. It's slow. The AI doesn't seem to do anything. The units are essentially the same. The overall idea of the game is sound. I would like to upgrade each tile with all buildings, not just 1. I'd like the AI to attack. I'd like to see upgrades. And for a battle to be more interesting. Could be automated. Could be front line is hit first, archers last. Maybe add more strategic tiles.
5/5 Love the game. Management game in a space shooter body. If you're expecting a skill based shooter, this isn't it. Attention to detail is awesome. From grabber arms to drones. Specials added late into the game. Crafting would be awesome if the weapons were usable. Love it
Reaching Singularity - 1) Grow tech by worshipping. First 2 techs go to Mysticism and eventually 3 total plus 3 in Polythesium, and zero in Monotheism. 2) Grow tech by growing population. Animal Breeding/Cattle is good till 4000BC. After that Fishing till 3000BC. Then all Plough - the other two lines of food don't allow enough population to work. 3) When the population is climbing by about 200k per turn, grow tech by Writing - the compounding 10% exceeds the cost increase of tech. One you get 1 tech per turn, it will increase to Null in a few turns. Keep threat level at or below 15%. Best way to increase population is City Planning plus Mud Houses, or Code of Law if you only have tech.
Great start. Keep it simple graphics. Game play is more important. Could create a variety of creeps, some that are fast, some with armor, some shooters, some siege, etc. Include stats, damage, rate of fire, range, health - for weapons, towers, creeps. Different upgrades for towers. I hate when towers can be killed, but that's a personal preference. Scrap production facility. Experience for my hero, with upgrades. Maybe a queen to protect.
Got to the last level. 3King bees like you got on round 4 plus 1 even larger queen bee. The key: Don't try to kill the wave 4 king bee. Let him kill your soldiers and honey bees. I got lucky, and had 10 larva bees go untouched. He hits your hive for a while and flies away. Then, I went all soldiers (about 50) the rest of the way (with 0 honey and 10 larva). But Round 10 got me. Still room for improvement though.
Hi Ryan, Thanks for the feedback. In time, i will try to improve on some of the things you mentioned
