There is no cost of playing if you win. If you're running out of electrum in the early stages, that's not bad luck, that's a sub-optimal deck.

My OCD cannot handle the fact that he skipped g and i. And has a random h before a. Can someone ban this guy?

There are a number of ways you can lose before your turn is over, mostly by you doing something stupid. Fire bolting yourself, fire bolting enemy when they have a reflective shield, hurting the enemy's voodoo doll, playing sosac when you don't have the hp, healing yourself when you have sosac up, discarding a ghost (technically I guess your turn is over for this one), etc.

I don't see what's wrong with the ablaze skill. Can't you just see it as setting the spirit ablaze for a turn, then it runs out of quanta energy and the fire sort of dies out, so you set it ablaze again the next turn?

pvp1 automatically 'unupgrades' your upgraded cards for games. They return to normal after that, so you don't lose electrum or anything.

iirc you need to wait for your next arena card from oracle for levels you just gained to take effect.

@rainlord you know, I'm pretty sure that's not ai haxxing. It sounds like the ai mindgating all your cards. Also, you can press space to end turn.

I don't get why people are even replying to this guy. I don't get why I'm replying to this guy...Anyway, I'm not entirely sure how to break it to you...but sometimes, people have different opinions. I know it's terribly hard to believe, but it's true. There are people who don't like bacon. There are people who think your mom is kinda hot. And then there are the freaks who like elements. Get over it.

I used to wonder why people didn't fly off into the sky. I asked, and people said "gravity". So I asked, why do things with mass have gravity? And it turns out nobody really knows. And if you can just accept that there's absolutely no reason for you to float off into space, it really isn't THAT hard to accept that nightfall doesn't stack, right?

I never understood the hate against people who just take decks off forums and play them. Maybe you don't have fun doing that, it doesn't mean other people don't, and it sure as hell doesn't mean you should come and tell exactly how to play the game, because there's only one right way to do so and that's yours. It's a game. sheesh. (I probably sound too harsh here, it's because it's not just ibeporkinu's comment I'm referring to. There are people who do this on chat too, and they're extremely in your face about it. pls. stop.)

Your analogy is kind of inappropriate. Cc cards kill a creature, not the player. This would be more like temporarily jamming the opponent's weapon in a fps. Not that it's a good idea to compare the two at all....It's also not really possible to objectively say that a game mechanic is bad. It is always a subjective opinion. How would you 'objectively' say a game mechanic is bad? Well, maybe you'd use a list of criteria. What would be on this list of criteria though? It's going to differ from person to person, and I don't think the United Nations has had a conference on universal values and standards of gaming mechanics (It could happen!)

And just to add on, this IS a problem seen in pretty much every card game ever. However, I think it's more prevalent in EtG than other card games. There's very little for players to consider when playing a deck, especially if it's a mindless rush deck - which is what most newbies are going to be using for grinding or pvp1

I think that there's actually some point to what sonnyboy is saying, he's just not putting it across correctly. I think what he's trying to say is that elements is kind of rock-paper-scissors, and if you meet a deck which counters yours (his buff deck against a deck with rewinds), there is very little room for counterplay. Which is kind of true, whether you're a veteran or a newbie, you just can't win some matchups. Most of the strategy in EtG is in the deckbuilding, not in the actual playing of decks.

The trolls who lurk chat 24/7 actually know the game, and they don't troll by giving bad advice. Usually. It's actually other new players who are giving other new players bad advice on chat (cat/boneyard op!)

actually, miracle is so slow that it's not frequently used in pvp2, it would easily get outrushed. Sosac is hard countered by purify, which is a common card. You seem to be confusing win rate with how these decks do against each other in pvp, something which isn't exactly the same. You might also want to consider not only win rate, but turns to win - even though a rush deck may have a lower winrate than pdials in say bronze or ai3, using the rush deck is still way more efficient.

not exactly sure how you lose 205 electrum when pvp costs 30/50 electrum. Where the heck did that 5 electrum come from o3o

@zealot score doesn't mean you're better. There's no real difference between a 50k score player and 500k score player in pvp since they both have fully upped decks at that point. Also, pvp2 is already dead enough, doing so would make it even harder to get a match.

@Cody what he's saying is that the PU'd chimera should have the stats of the chimera it PU'd, let's say x|y. It should THEN absorb the old chimera, giving it 2x|2y. What actually happens is the old chimera is destroyed the instant you PU the new one, not absorbed - you can't have 2 chimera in play at any point in time.
