Fuel isn't really a problem once you get it into your head that you don't need to use the engine all the time (took me long enough....)
The biggest frustration for me is that the merest touch of anything you're not supposed to pick up is instant game over, which makes it HARD. Maybe some folk like that but I'm not one of them. Maybe you could have grazing the ground and hard landings take score off, and a negative score = game over. Then have a hard mode with the current instant loss?
Seriously needs a less tedious way of crafting objects. Like clicking on an existing recipe auto-fills the boxes, with an option to craft as many of that object as your stock will allow.
I want to like this game I really do. It has so many interesting things to play with, but it's ruined by the utter and repeated frustration of not being "allowed" to do anything. And by anything I mean survive for more than 5 minutes at a stretch without being gangraped by what amounts to sanctioned griefers. You'll hear the phrase "It's a war game" an awful lot. (Emphasis on the word game, which implies fun. Which this isn't. YMMV.)
Suggestions:
- Don't make the dungeons too dark, there's a fine line between atmosphere and eyerelated headaches.
- Put all the 'eye' artifacts on a seperate tab, they're just clutter.
- Either make healing potions more common/cheaper or make a heal spell available pretty early, I'm on lv.24 and I don't have heal. This is hard work not fun now.
- Move available spells to some other area where they're easy to access, and have them activate on a single click.
- Quicken up the the item popups when opening chests, they don't need to be on screen for that long.
Quite nice! Those bombs are really unreliable though, they either whizz off the top of the screen and do nothing, or explode right in front of you and do nothing. The #2 green bomb is very prone to this behaviour, the #1 exlpode bomb not so much.
1. None of the upgrades have price values.
2. Attempting to buy an upgrade you can't afford locks you into the upgrade screen and you can't progress without reloading.
This is the seed of something awesome. I can easily see this concept getting expanded into something much bigger. Perhaps even covering the entire solar system (and beyond).
It would also be nice if every time you possessed a new type of vehicle you could learn something to improve yourself a little bit.... Maybe even have multiple enhancments to choose from so every game is different (for a while any way!)
It's a realy good idea! We made it, try new version, please.
