What I did to keep playing was download a copy of the SWF for elona shooter (not the Kong version and version 120, so some functionality not there), then got an old version of flash from the links on this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/FlashPlayerForever/comments/kp69ix/how_to_use_flash_player_after_january_12_2021/
After installing that player and the Pale Moon browser, I can play the standalone SWF but the version on Kong just freezes while loading. Anyway, I'd rather keep the file locally on my PC because I suspect Kongregate and other sites will kill all the flash games if someone doesn't quickly come up with an effective emulator.
How to win on easy mode:
Choose Wizard.
Put a point in each attribute (2 in dex) each level up.
Put a single point in ice ring, then the rest in heal (maybe a single one in mana steal).
Find a sword with +attack speed and ice damage (Check the shop every time you're there for one. Even if it does crap damage, you can finish the game with it).
Very early, just avoid getting mobbed and you're good.
With dangerous things (demons and bosses), use ring of ice to stunlock them as your guy pounds on them. With everything else, kill it however you feel like doing so melee will often stunlock enemies.

All-in-all a good way to kill an hour, but only the first 5 levels or so offer any challenge.
