minyman ultimatly those updates saved the game. Banks were getting POed at Jagex because of all the stolen credit cards from RWTing. Most people use CC for their membershipand would have quit RS if Jagex stop offering the option to use CCs for subsctription. Without the updates there is a good chance RS would not exist today and people whould be complaining that Jagex did nothing to stop it.
@NaruHina, last time I checked all three of those games had zero player to player interaction, causing the game to fail epicaly in comparion to most every MMO.
Stalin , yeah the game doesn't take much skill at all but that is not necessarily a bad thing. With the game not having much skill needed you do not need to devot most of your attention to the game, so you could easily read abook or watch your favorite TV show (I've done both before). The grinding in Runescape isn't that bad, besides it can easily be counter-acted by one of the many mini-games. In reality a MMO is going to have atleast a little bit of grinding no matter how you look at it. I've never played Guild Wars, but i've heard that lots of people don't classify it as a full MMO because you only have player to player interactions in towns (I don't know that for a fact it is just what i've heard, so correct me if I'm wrong). Doesn't Guild Wars have a one time fee of $30; making the game a better value only in the long run.

@Stalin, if the only quests you have tried are the free quests then you're probably right; those quests are rather easy andl ack what most of the members quest have. Many of the members quests have extensive puzzles that very few 8-12 year old kids could figure out. There are many quest lines that have a developed story. PvP never left the game. It has always been here just not like the way it was in the wilderness. You say that the graphics are bad for a browser game? Tell me a 3D browser game that has better graphics. And please do not ignorantly sterotype us. We are not 8-12 years old, and many of us that are members pay for it ourselfs.We play the game because we enjoy it, so please respect our decision.
Jisen i played puzzle pirates for about 4 months. It was fun, but the thing that turned me away from it and back to Runescape was the fact that there were such few updates to the game itself. I think during the entire time I played the game new content was added about 2 or 3 times.
@Stalin people play runescape because you don't have to pay a penny to play it. Yes there is not a ton of stuff to do as a free player but people like the fact that they are playing a MMO without paying.

@wiitard WoW doesnt fit into everybody's budget. People play RS because they either are not paying at all or paying only $5 a month. People like to play guild wars because it is only a one time fee. WoW on the other had you have to pay to get the game (not sure of price) and then pay a monthly fee of $15 (not sure of exact monthly fee).
ghost, people are hacked through keyloggers, just about any half decent antivirus program can stop keyloggers and get rid of them. So it would be his fault for not having a decent antivirus program
Knight they don't delete accounts for no reason, they ban them for breaking rules. One of two things happen: you broke the rules, got reported, and got banned. Or somebody hacked your account, took whatever they could, and then got your account banned. Either way it is your fault.
@ patar if you got addicted then its your own fault. By saying you play first string tight end your probably implying that you have a life, but by judging by your 6 comments, 4 of which are 100% spam and the other 2 which are 50% spam, i would say you have no life.

@hypractivboy everybody is entitled to their own opinion, many of us do not think Runescape is stupid. We play the game because we find it enjoyable, please let us play runescape in peace.
