This is a pretty good game, but again, NO explanation of how anything works or what I'm supposed to do. So, though the instruction on the side panel says that instructions are explained in the game, that's a lie. I had to learn everything from trial and error. I had no idea HOW you're supposed to get rewards from the items you dispose of until VERY LATE in the game, and it was halfway through playing the first act that I finally figured out what the boxes on the left were for. I had thought that was for the enemy. Nope, that's where I'm supposed to put the items I want to use that I've collected. Developer, please make these things clear to begin with!
I hate puzzles. I mean, I really hate puzzles. This is no different. However, I do appreciate the depth, creativity and time which went into making this. If you are someone who likes to work puzzles, you'll like this one. 3/5 (I wanted to give it 1/5 but I just couldn't. I might hate puzzles, but I'll compromise and give it 3/5).
@Corloc: Please, how are you getting to level 6? It's taken forever and the best I managed to do (pure luck) was level 5 and I was killed by a hidden swarm of monsters. There's never enough food, and no matter what type of "hero" I choose, I can't get past level 3 most of the time. How could Kong put this in as part of the "Best of 2018?" This badge is going to keep me from completing the quest!
OMG, it figures. This is what happens after I make a frustrated post. I FINALLY am able to figure it out. So, nevermind. And to anyone having incredible frustration with level 11. You need to time your axe throwing just right, and when you get past the higher level flames, jump up, turn, and as you're falling toward the ghost, throw the axe on the green wall so you land on it and start jumping/bouncing. Turn around again, and when you feel the time is right, recall your axe and throw it at the skull and let yourself fall. You'll know what to do after that.
PLEASE! CAN SOMEONE HELP WITH LEVEL 11!? I've tried EVERYTHING I can think of to try and get the axe on the skull, but no matter what I do, nothing works. I'm still unable to jump high enough!!!
Well, I'm kind of sad that this became a demo version on Kong. I really liked this game because it was/felt reminiscent of the old DOS games and those were some of the best games back in the day.
Yes, this is a known bug (it's a hidden item that keeps getting removed and making that message appear). The save is not actually incomplete. It'll be fixed in the next update.
OK, thanks, yeah, I found the chickens and cows. But I'm not playing this game on Kartridge. I'm playing this game on Kongregate. And it still makes me save locally (Flash). If this game is really HTML5, then I should be able to save without risking losing the save, but if I clear Flash, I lose the saved game. Part of the point of HTML5 is that saving the game should be easier and not lost at any point.
The saves have nothing to do with flash, they are in your browser local storage. You have to play on the same website/computer/browser to access them, and you can clear them by clearing browser history. There's nothing I can really do about that - the browser handles all storage (for security reasons).
Terrible version of the game. When there are multiple jump opportunities, the game chooses for you and always makes you take the worst possible jump. Not a good game. 1/5
Wow, easiest game of checkers I've ever played. Also, I'm glad they don't do that stupid jumping rule thing. I've NEVER played with it except on some online sites. I'd never even heard of the jumping rule until then. Only negative is that I dismantled the sound on my browser and the sound in the game still breaks through repeatedly. THAT is annoying!
OK, now I'm really angry! I died, and when I hit on "retry," yeah, I was brought back, but the factory, my headgear, and FOUR batteries I made are GONE!!! How unfair!!!
"I'm going to have to add cows and chicken, aren't I? My desire to keep the animal pen simple backfired :P . I could even add feeding of farm animals like the wyrm pen. BUT! This is a different planet... so maybe pigs lay eggs? I even have the boars drop eggs on rare occasions." - And yet, still no chickens or cows, lol. Will they be added or have you given up on that plan?
They are already added. The easiest way to get them is from the market, but there are enemies you can catch that turn into chickens/cows too (like boar -> pig).
That's a real company?!
