@crescentyr: that option to right click remove should be the default. It's too easy to click on the x when the items are small. I lost most of my errors mis-clicking on the correct item because I didn't hit the exact spot.
Good progression of difficulty, and good job introducing new ways to move pieces. One suggestion would be maybe to make the different types of moves be different colors, so that when there are multiple symbols on one piece, it gets pretty jumbled. You can tell what is similar by the shaking when you can't move a piece, but it might make it visually better once it gets complicated.
Good idea. Needs some kind of end screen so you know the game is over. Right now it looks like the player didn't finish the last level because it doesn't put a checkmark on the number, like there is with the others, but there's no more levels to complete.
I liked that there wasn't some sort of number of moves as a goal for each level, or stars earned if you can solve the puzzle under a certain amount. These kind of puzzles are good enough and difficult enough just to be able to solve them at all, which is enough of a reward.
maddog, the note clue is fine. it took me a couple of min to figure it out. you have to pay attention to what the flowers look like compared to the example, as well as the math symbols.
Nice job on making each level a bit more complex without having to explain how each new element works. It's nice to play a minimalist game that doesn't have to tell you everything, yet is not too easy, either.
Only thing I'd change is maybe having a different song every time you level. The techno beat is fine, but it gets repetitive. Great concept and execution on the rest.
gdstudios: you have to have all of the strawberries. then you take one at a time and put it in the strawberry box, which opens up one part of the code at a time.
Good job on the game. One thing I'd suggest for any potential sequel is for the main character to change visually as he levels. Maybe have a fancier sword, or some sort of helmet, and have it change every few levels or so (not every level). Something to visually show progress and add some flavor.
The only part that was frustrating was the "choose your own adventure" fight scene in the cemetery. It would be nice if you failed to go back to the last choice, not the very beginning. There's a lot of needless clicking if you guess wrong, which happens a lot.
We're glad you liked the game, thank you :)
About the "Mentzen fight", we thought a lot about it; the fact is, the third episode was the easiest above all of them; reaching the final scene was quite easy, so we choosed to put a last obstacle for the player.
We even thought about going back to the last choice, as you said, but then, it would be WAY too easy, because this way the player wouldn't fear to make the wrong choice.
Maybe, in a future release, we'll add checkpoints to that scene :)
We'll surely consider this matter in the last episode.
We hope you'll like it!
Didn't think of it, thanks for suggestion, will definitely do it in the next update
