The ammo glitch was first said about on May. 28, 2007 by Tron (see http://www.kongregate.com/games/ConArtists/the-last-stand/comments?pdis=0Qq-b&sort=oldest&srid=15965 about a third of the way down the page). mrham777 copied it more than 3 years later, and whereas Tron said it worked for any weapon mrham777 only bothered to say about chainsaw.
For those of you who said you use hint, copy it to paint and then restart, using hint again and copying that; what's the point in a game if you just cheat, in the time you took doing that you could have actually done some levels and had fun doing them rather than just wasting your time.
Would be nice if when you lit a torch it permanently made a patch of ground surrounding it lit up, so that as the torches are lit you slowly make the world visible in colours.
Quite good game for its complexity, but needs a steeper difficulty gradient - at the moment it doesn't really get enormously hard before you complete it.
Car type handling review (I am making this based on the cheapest cars' performance, so it may not be accurate for the later cars): Monster truck: quite easy to control, very wide so doesn't miss coins as easily as the others, joint best with buggy. Lorry: good turning circle, but steering is a bit too fast. Speed racers: not too bad compared to some of the others, also the start car so you can tell for yourself. Muscle cars: similar to speed racers, a bit less controllable, you start with one of these as well. Bus: wide turning circle but otherwise ok. Dirt buggy: along with monster truck seems to be the best, more controllable with a better turning circle than some of the others. Supercar: very fast as you'd expect but totally uncontrollable.
@Puzzler99: Lightness shouldn't determine jump length - the increase in the force of gravity on a heavier car would be cancelled by the increase in momentum. If anything a lighter car at the same speed as a heavier car would travel less far because it would have a greater air resistance to mass ratio.
Very good game, one suggestion, how about a manual save as well as an autosave? I quite like to save on multiple slots with games like this in case one gets accidentally deleted, and also prefer to be able to see that it has actually saved before quitting.
