Um, yeah. If the guy in the back dosn't ahve a ranged attack or a spear then he can't attack. The back row is for supporting the front. Or the front supporting the back, either thought works.
This time through I just through I had to go to level 16 before hitting hitting a legendary monster. New item for me, Greaves of the Dwarf King....kinda nice.
"Make temporary permanant" gives you one of two potions. One is str and end + 5, the other is int and dex + 5. "Makae mundane extroadinary" is pretty common sence. One item in your inventory that is not enchanted or broken ie. It has a white border, is turned into a unique item. Obviously, if you dont have room in your inventory for potions, or a common item to enchant, the shrines are useless.
Here is a simple hint for everyone who can't get conjurers to work. Don't worry about your intellect stat. Vortex isn't very useful and the other spell heals only creatures so it also isn't very good. None of the conjurers good spells - aegis, wargolem, banisment, call soul - rely on intellect. If you use a conjurer, Only increase endurance, nothing else.
I have done it as early as lv14. You need enough ranged power to bring him down, and armor to hold the front line. Sadly, I don't remember him posin resistance, but I would imagine around 50%. You can reuse the stone, so try popping in, check his stats, and retreat first round if you decide to hold off.
After you beat the Dreadfather, you get two decent items, and can continue in the endless dungeon, which obviously means you can keep fighting forever.
When you use the Journymens stone you are transported to fight the Dread Father, and three fearsowers. Be ready for a fight, because he will resummon the fearsowers, and actually force members of your party to retreat. The good thing is, if someone is forced to retreat, and the rest die, you can live to try again.
Temporary becomes permanant gives you one of two potions. Either a permanant boost to your strength and endurance for 5 each, or a similar boost to your dex and intellect. The dex intellect potion I have never received on levels below 20
The temporay becomes permanant alter gives you one or more potions that have a permant +5 to strenth and endurance. .. Tictamint, unless you are playing the Hardcore option, your party is alwasy revived when defeated.
gbaz, that tactic almost never works.
Two common things will beat you sooner or later.
Either you get stunned
Or you run against a fearsower or shaman and they hit with a No Mana regen power.
And in 338, the tactical option completely removes your mana regen anyway.
In a desperate situation, yes, works fine, but by then I only use the warrior to draw fire while everyone else flees.
