This was a good way to kill a day, thanks for making it. Now onto some tips for newbies. Contrary to most games you shouldn't spend your stat points on useful things, you should prioritize it based on how much you hate the trainings. I really liked the archery training for instance, so I never spent a point on it but still ended up with a much higher archery score till end game. I also don't really suggest speccing too hard into defense either, as its minigame is the only one that can be left on idle. Once I got turbo I just left it on when I went to bed and I woke up level 180 with 50K defense so... Think about that.
Through testing I figured out what that periodic drop in power is. It's the genetic that makes your troops and guns stronger suddenly not working. As I dropped the genetic entirely and my number went to the normal drop point.
So for some reason after a long time of going to war, that genetic just stops working. Interesting...
That moment when you load up the game out of boredom and see the glitch previously stopping you from playing is fixed, only to realize you're not on the same computer yet that progress is very clearly yours.
It's a very scary and confusing few seconds. Followed by awesome.
Ya, i'm... Not gonna bother playing this to get to the badge of the day. This computer is actually really good, and this lags like, well, far too much for me to want to play this. The actual game itself is fine, but the menus. My god the menus.
"but it can never be even 5 conquests a day anymore."
Well now that I've done a run in a little over an hour while doing other shit, I think I can say I've completed this. Proving the creator wrong is enough for an idle game.
I've had a lot of fun with this, but I'm kind of annoyed by the utter worthlessness that Gyms and Trainers come with.
At 70 Gyms and a good hundred Trainers, you're not even looking at a hundred million defense, but your enemies by that point are doing like 10 billion damage.
They're great in the beginning but by even a few hours in, they're completely worthless.
Sorry! The block still needs a lot of tweaking, it's proving to be a really really tough mechanic to balance (too much block and Trimps never take damage, not enough and its useless). I'm getting closer to finding the sweet spot. This is the first game I've ever made and my first time working with Javascript, but I'm really going to do my best to get the game stable as quickly as possible. Bear with me! Thank you for the feedback :)
So I decided to be finicky for no reason and do the game without health upgrades on my first run.
Definitely had difficulties, the last level especially was hell. Had to redo it like 15 times.
So I finally beat it and I figure, "how much easier would that hell have been with all the health upgrades?" So I get them all, and then do it on the first try flawlessly without getting hit.
And that? That was just cruel..

Anyway, had a lot of fun. One of the few games on Kong I actually bothered to complete now a days. Was comical, had a nice fun feel to it, and wasn't tedious.
You no, I actually really enjoy the arkadian games. However the fact that none of them are in my favorites would beg to differ. You know why that is? Because I can't play them for more than 20 minutes before my computer tries to explode. It's like that in every single one. I sense a memory leak afoot, one which you should have fixed a long time ago.
I'm in the "15" part puzzles and I'm flying through. Went back and laughed at a lot of the puzzles that gave me trouble in the past. Got to Dolphin in the "10" part and it still gives me a harder time than the 15 part puzzles. I can honestly say that Dolphin should be farther in the list of "Easy" puzzles, because it's kind of throwing off the difficulty climb... A lot.
Alright, after some... Interesting work on getting it to load. I must say that the game runs amazingly especially so considering this computer makes my eye twitch just trying to open a folder sometimes. A lot of fun too. Controls are a bit weird though.
I've been finding myself enjoying this game from time to time, watching myself get faster and faster. The badges are a great system, making the entire experience more interesting. My only compliant is the Kongregate Hard badge for this game. I just unlocked it with 23 puzzles left to do before I've even completed Easy mode. I understand it's time consuming but I've honestly seen easy badges that take more time, a hard badge should never be less than a 3rd of a game. If only making it through 1/3rd is considered hard badge, does that make completing every puzzle impossible badge worthy? I doubt it. Kongregate achievements are meant to give the entire experience more purpose and help give reason to strive forward and enjoy yourself. Such a worthless hard badge does kind of the opposite. I'm going to complete this awesome game regardless, but my point stands.
It won't be deleted; it'll just be in the wrong place. Use https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Local_shared_object#File_locations to find your save files, and search the "chat.kongregate.com" folder for "Run 3.sol". Once you find it, go up a few levels and rename the "preview" folder to "live".
Did it on the first try so, proud of myself. A few things to say. One, that was a long game. Two, machine gun and accuracy weapon+assistant=Win. Three, graphics on these flash games are getting amazing. I mean holy crap, this is a long way from Last stand. There came a point when I didn't need any more guns "Remington and M249" and I couldn't recruit anymore survivors. I placed everyone into helping roles instead of search and started using all my time for bombs and repairs. Game became kind of comical after that. Don't underestimate the melee guys, I'd say they are much better than gunman. Oh and assistant really is the difference between death and life later game so.. Good luck to everyone else!
Please do and let me know what broke.
