I'm one of the few sickos that really enjoyed this! I also like that you get to keep the metal hand guard on each level if you get it. Fun little few minutes for me :)
Haha, I suck so bad... I was thinking that it was impossible to get 5 stars on the final level until I realised that Goblin's market is not premium content. Suddenly all of those comments about Targa's pet and the machine gun make sense to me! :p
@Haqpp, yep that lvl75 tip actually worked, but an added tip to it for anyone else wondering... I captured and maxed the 4 left hand side blobs only. Then captured one extra blob as it gave the lightening speed boost. It took a few tries as you have to do it quick enough to beat all of the lab attacks and it only worked with speed boost for me. I also attacked with about 200 not 350. I found that an impossible number to reach.
Anyone got tips for the last level? Seems impossible to me. Black pirate with near infinite blobs and 3 labs. Gets me no matter which strategy I've tried. I even had a go at sending all 100 starting blobs at their big mothership in the corner :)
This is right up there with the quality of the old Sierra adventure games. Even down down to the puzzle solving that is/was always logical if you spent the time figuring it out. Best of all.... NO PIXEL HUNTING! Fantastic game, music and story telling. Thanks :D
Am I the only person that doesn't seem to get this game? There doesn't seem to be any indicator as to where you can and can't build. Why can I suddenly build on the road? What is the advantage of combining towers? What does it mean when towers turn to rocks, but appear to fire still? I just don't really understand it enough to develop anything related to a strategy...
Really enjoyed the game! The only thing that bothered me was that the guy in the beginning kept changing his mind about who to attack which let the girl in the middle die more than once.
I played this before it got badges and had the issue of only 11 achievements but 100% the rest. Playing through this time I got all 12. I have no idea what I did differently, though the only thing I made sure to do was to click "end" at each ending in case that helped :\
Yeah I was very similar to dgoodhue, made base top right, used 3 morters to hod back creeper, reacters mainly for energy stored in 4 storage units, and as I built blasters I disabled them until I needed them with 100 stored packets it was fairly easy.
I can't help but wonder if the rat idea is a throwback to "theme hospital," but that was always fun and your cursor auto changed to a crosshair and you shotgunned them to death before a janitor cleaned them up. Like other players here I'm going to have to whine about this rat sorry, it's not fun nor does it add fun difficulty to the game.
I liked how different parts of the story came together when you chose different paths. Cute humour and engaging. Glad to have spent the minutes on it that I did :)
