This is a great game. It's colossal fun, and the overwhelming absurdity (like the serious monologue at the end in the context of a game where you bounce from aircraft to aircraft in a tank) just makes it better. When I first played it I was probably too young to appreciate the deliberate cheesiness; I see it now. There's a dramatic twist from nowhere, stock characters, 1 dimensional romance...even a random castlevania reference (I'll leave it to you to spot). 5/5 no hesitation.
Great game (despite the fact I lose all my progress every time I play). And I'm not even being sarcastic, it's a good game.
Minor detail: "lance corporal" should be a rank below "bombardier", not above... and for the sake of consistency, it would make more sense to call it "lance bombardier". Either that or change "bombardier" to "corporal". Just a slight nitpick. I'd give the game 5/5.
What I like about this game is how realistic it is. Most of the details of trench warfare are reproduced. This is one of the best free WWI games on the internet.
I would probably give this game 5/5 if it loaded most of the time. The fact that it doesn't is very annoying, especially because it seems like a really good game. I give it 3/5.
