Sorry - my previous comment was in response to the multitude of comments about the exponential growth that shifts the balance between 200 & 300. If people are paying attention, they would already know that each business has a different price per unit fixed percentage rate. & not claiming it's a bug, or that it changed in the update.
Why does nobody notice at the 100 mark Lemonade costs about 3 thousand and News 70 million (23 thousand times as much) and Car wash is 353 million (about 5 times as much as News. Then at the 200 mark Lemonade costs about 2 million and News is 82 trillion ! (41 million times as much as Lemonade) and Car wash is about 173 trillion (barely over 2 times as much as News). This game is about numbers. Sometimes it's worth buying just a few of a business, to bring in more money per cycle (if the time to finish is short enough) Sometimes it's worth "losing money" (where it costs more than the business produces) if it gains a milestone & speed bonus especially when it affects the others. Mindlessly clicking a hundred at a time down the list is just poor business strategy. Learning when to "level up" each business & when to reset to gain more investors is key.
@Chammy - not entirely sure if this is happening in the case you described, but sometimes when upgrading, a business will "jump through" to the next cycle if enough time has already elapsed where it would finish when halved - or quartered (from the all XXX of everything achievement) see if your money up top spikes up, when that happens
A reset will not change the exponential growth of companies. it's exactly as it was before the update. It wasn't as noticeable then, when 300 was the end goal. The price is a fixed percentage - but each business is a different rate than the others. Searching comments, or doing some math will give info to know what is going on & strategize.
Nothing about the prices of businesses changed with the update, the exponential factor is just more noticeable. it was always the case that between 200 and 300 the cheaper businesses ('cept Lemon) would out grow the more expensive ones in cost per unit.

@ Ukkun - good luck, I'm at 1.7 billion angels & have been resetting around 200 million more. (lost patience in doubling) I can say that my Oil's profits don't exceed the cost of buying another until about 500. -News does that close to 300. Gonna need a helluva lot more though. My figures show News # 500 is going to cost about 88 Nonillion (the set after Octillion) and 675 Nonillion for the whole run of News from 400 to 500. (spellchecked with crayon & energy drinks - YMMV) I wouldn't even buy News after 300 if it weren't for the speed bonus.
It's not a Bug or a Glitch that over 300+ you are finding News costing more than Oil. Other comments give all the numbers (if you don't feel like calculating it yourself) but Lemonade and Oil cost 1.07% incrementally. so each one costs more than the last. News is 1.15% the fastest growing cost in the game.......... With Eleventy million angel investors, I've got everything run up to 400 and i'm working backwards toward News to 500 (except Lemonade). I'm buying Oil over 500 & resetting every couple hours, cause Oil #551 is cheaper than News 409 & earns something like a factor of a million times more. (can't be sure - because we don't know how many times News pays per sec) Where i'm currently at, I'm getting 10 septillion from Oil every 4 seconds. Makes the angel number jump quicker, so i can reset & drive oil profits up. Maybe later in the week it will finally be making enough to pay the OVER 9000 OcTaBiLLiOn™ to get News to 500. (my spreadsheet is crying)
Buying Oil wells over 500, cause they are still cheaper than getting News to 400 (to get the all speed bonus) and they contribute way more profit per sec. [this is not a glitch, News costs 1.15 more for every one. Oil is 1.07]
Like the new upgrades - loved the short window where last set was 11 times profit (why did i reset ? D'oh!!!!!)
Interesting puzzles - but the playing area is larger than what is visible at higher levels, very hard to logic what can't be seen - unless that is the point ?
