It is possible to make a hard reset already (and I assume that caused some of the lost savegames)
Just start the game while logged out, so that you play the game in guest mode. Then login while the game is running. A popup should appear that asks you if you want to continue the game from server or discard it. When you discard it, you'll continue with the game you started as guest. But please be aware that the old save can't be recovered.
