I hate drawing parallels to other games, but what I think makes this game so compelling for me is the randomized loot system. I don't know when I'll get a better weapon, which is why I keep grinding. This aspect is also what made Borderlands so much fun for me.
I feel like the "8 common" concept of the store is a little bogus. I believe a mechanic of bronze packs having 95% chance of commons, 3% uncommon, 2% rare, or something of the like and the rarer percents would increase the better packs were bought.
One of the best aspects in EW4 over EW3, in my opinion, is that you can actually use the combat knife using stealth tactics. In EW3 enemies could always see you even if you were behind them. Now they only have eyes in the back of their head if they have been wounded.
to all new players; you don't need to level up to get AP points. After every battle you win your surviving players get AP. This means that the level cap doesn't restrict the number of skills you can buy so you don't need to be overly cautious with what skills you purchase.
BTW, Ayumilove, an idea for v2: allow the use of skills. In other words, for warrior, there would be the power slice or whatever. this would do more damage, meaning more experience per second, but one would need to but mana pots, thus less money per second. the skill would stay active until canceled. Just an idea.
This may be a long post but stay with me. Borderlands is a game that came out in the previous year and already the developer, Gearbox is making the last DLC. They showed that level of dedication to their customers. Ayumilove, on the other hand, is gave us this game for free two years ago and she is STILL working hard to please us. Just knowing that you are still working to post Hackerstory v2 is awesome. I would have given up along time ago. Keep it up and I can't wait.
