Kardel the "S" is the best, its superior rating. YOu get it by killing almost 100% of the enemies and geting hit 2 times or less in the level. A rating is killing almost 100% of the enemies and getting hit 5 times or less in the level. It explains this to you at the start of one of the bonus levels.

Ps everyone, the titles are easy. The deeper you go, the better you get along with mana pearls. There is no fast way to get the titles. Die fast the first 10 times to get easy titles, to select for good abilities, then make a run at going deep. Some of the good ones are stuff like +5 all abilities, etc.
Hammowil3, play it on harder or higher. Its like playing a different game. Easy is about as hard as playing checkers against a 5 year old autistic blind kid.
Heres some tips for harder (ignore nightmare First of all, on easy/normal, playing defensive works well. Playing defensive on harder will get you killed about 1/3rd of the way in. ON harder, you have to move very very fast. First, restart until you get a friendly map. Generally one with an apartment, another police station, a farm, big farm and a mall close by. second, never have an idle surivor. Always have all surivors out on missions. Have soldiers clearing squares around your grid non stop. Otherwise, zombies pile up and eventually start attacking, forcing you to put more on defence, trapping you in a death spiral. Explore fast with all extras, get to the edge of the map as soon as you can, then to a corner. remember, faster is better on harder. YOu cant wait to consolidate and take your time. It just doesnt happen. Zombie spawns slowly increase, and max around day 75 per day. So if you bunker down on day 35, you are in for it.
Ive beat it on all modes except nightmare now. I restarted nightmare multiple times to get a random map that is friendly to start with Wish me luck. Amazing game. If you added gun stores with last stand style play for the zombie horde attacks, you would have the ultimate game. 5/5!
