Wood can be generated from nothing when cars are upgraded. They appear to remove their current Capacity from your stock and deposit their current Capacity at their destination, even if that value has changed in transit (roughly half the time).
The mechanic where the gems/trees start spawning above level 1 can be kind of frustrating. It's really counter-intuitive that if you sell a tree that's been leveling up and place a new tree with no experience in the same spot, your position will be stronger. On top of that, there's no indicator for what level the tree will come in, so when you're playing for gold trophies, you usually find out when the enemy suddenly wipes out your front line.
The achievements are pretty annoying the way they're set up now. In case anyone has gotten two of the scrolls, crashed 2 gates, and killed so many zombies, I can tell you the achievements that are coming up. It's to get four of the scrolls, crash four gates, and kill twice that many zombies. After that it gets really creative. Also - I second the complaints about the prices being ridiculous and only compound the frustration at having to grind. I'm looking at a screen telling me I can skip having to collect 5000 coins if I pay 5850.
As a hint to those still into this game though, when there's bamboo/lights staggered between zombies, zig-zag so that you hit them and it'll rack up your combo more quickly.
Good game, but two slightly annoying things: occasionally you can rotate bricks into each other which is sometimes really helpful and sometimes really annoying. Also grazing the side of a brick causes you to lose control. Overall good though.
Pretty cool...took a while to realize about the variable jumping and the way you can stay on platforms longer than it looks like you should be able, which makes the game much easier...it'd be nice if the levels took more thought on the part of the player instead of like two or three decisions and mostly trying to get the same jump over and over.
