I've played this game for a very, very, VERY long time... the rogue series that is. it kind of feels like the necromancers got a MASSIVE nerf in this iteration... like its actually frustrating. There seem to be less books, staffs, and other power items for magic users all around. just overall, as a caster I feel like I'm a lot weaker now (which really sucks because it was already a struggle in the 3rd game). I dunno if i'm going to play this iteration very much.
and now the gold and the item i got from the mission are gone and I am back to having a roster/mission assign issue.
I cant play this game. I will probs try it once on edge to see if the browser makes a difference but then I am giving up and moving on.
what the hell? and now after first mission... after finally having reset the tab 20 times trying to work past the bug... my char who took 0 damage is gone?
what the hell, so I Finally got past the strange issue of it blanking out my roster, and not letting me assign for a fight, and as soon as the fight starts my person disapears and I insta am defeated..... what
ok, so I read through some of the comments and I want to give some counter feedback.
I really love that enviro effects hurt the person that triggers them... its great for punishing bad planning and makes you more cautious.
I love the variable damage, I barely notice it to be honest but I am pretty sure it's saved be before so please keep it.
Infectious disease friendly fire is logical, I love it.
I like rng loot, a LOT.
for those with issues descending and being surrounded... go back up, plan, then re-descend and kill.
skele moves I clicked something else cause I didnt lose health so I was just ganna move away... so in 2 turns I go from 9 to + regen to down to like 1 or 2 and then I lose 9 health again and die.
this pissed me off, wtf.... I was safe... it didnt hurt me so I wasnt losing health... I... I.... I was so far T_T
of all the deaths, this one actually upset me, like a 'imma take a break now to get over this' upset.
Ok, so this actually pissed me off... I got to level 19, was doing great... was kicking ass and I tried casting a spell on a mirror golem... came to find out they reflect ranged target things... cool... so I get past a few and I find one and think 'maybe its just ranged projectiles since it reflected my staff but I think my spell hit one. Ok, cool, so I cast life leech or whatever it is and it reflects back. well. I have full life and I have a summoned minion fighting the golem and no other threats.... cool... no biggy, just ganna chill since I dont have to fight... I drop to like 9 health and then my minion dies. Ok, need to summon a new one. So I do, plenty of mana.... I didnt lose health last round so the spell ran its course.
I summon the minion and I lose health again.... random... but just as the
part 2
It was beautiful, like seeing real world panicked mistakes only in the game... I chuckled thinking 'death by panic, love it'.
I dont know if this was intentional, but it really brought life to the game and inspired me to play another 5 or so times.
Also strafe shot is god tier.
(sorry for a two part, and thus for 3, messages...)
part 1
oh, so I also just remembered. I had an amazing realistic moment happen (it was also kind of stupid but I enjoyed it for how realistic it was).
I walked into a room with a bunch of blade traps and 4 gas vents... I cautiously walked in towards the chest in the middle (by cautious I mean I tried blast activating the traps). I found a clear walk path in and knew even if the gas activated I could run out in time... and had toxic resist and health items if i got caught a round or two in it.
I walked in, went to the chest and activated everything... then I made for the exit and suddenly rather then path out my char starts blasting the trap just by the exit (i had to diagonal step to get in so id have to diagonal step to get out) and just... here I am frantically clicking thinking 'WHAT WHY, MOVE MORON' in a state of panic rather then really looking at what or why.
I keep having trouble moving things around for quick slot... when I got to click and move something it just sets it to active item.
also, there has been several times I wished I could attack the ground with a basic fire attack for either cloud cover or terrain flammables... but I cant unless I have fireball, fire bolt, or a exploding item to hit... I'd love to see this open up to allow ground attacks.
Are you playing on windows? the game shouldn't be compatible with other o.s.
