All puzzles can be solved without guessing. Keep in mind that there can not be 3 X/O's in a row, there are an equal number of X/O's in each row/column (3/3, 4/4, 5/5 depending on the size of the puzzle) and no two rows or two columns can be the same.
To people who don't understand why the energy system is bad...you're actually the people you're trying to make fun of. I'd rather be able to play for 15 minutes consecutively than come back to the computer every 1.5-2 hours. In fact, working/going out is often far longer than a 1.5-2 hour interval.
What's sad is 2-3 rounds of expert minesweeper provide more playtime over an entire 24 hour period than this game does. There's 7,600 people who think the energy system needs to be redone.
This is more like a 5 minute trial per day (you would have to login every 1.5 hours or so for 24 hours) and you have to pay $30 for every additional 15 minutes of play. That's the hard numbers folks.

Some seem to be very powerful but every single card has a counter card. You just need to figure out which one :)
