The point of rogue is to be resourceful and lucky, and in doing so, there should be different ways to play to encourage experimentation. This is just a grind till you're good enough, get lucky with samey gear. Pointless, but addictive; this is the Farmville of Roguelikes.
It's like playing a gimped mario game with all of the bad powerups and none of the good ones. I understand wanting difficulty, but this game does it in an unempowering way that scripts exactly one way through every level. The clones are generally detrimental to have around, which just leaves a bad taste in my mouth for the main hook of the game.
This game commits almost all of the sins of the bad flash game.
Unless, of course, this is an artistic statement, in which case it does succeed in showing the disposability of game life in a black comedy way. but I doubt that somehow.
Money Seize does the game you're trying for much better, and You Only Live Once does the art part better.
Fun game; needs harder logic, especially in the later stages. Maybe there should be personality attributes that you can't find on the board, for one. The power-up items also kill the difficulty curve.
For a game about love, there isn't much love in it. I don't even like princess types, and you can't even have a relationship with the pirate.
The idea that fetch quests will get you love is kinda sad to me.
Game is unbalanced (very hard with other buildings, very easy with only one) and gets dull. Needs a way to buy back buildings because the gameplay gets very limited after other buildings are gone.
