It'd be nice to see Training level factor (last rebirth) for comparison purposes. doesn't have to be on rebirth screen to avoid confusion but could be added to stats as there's plenty of room?
I want to be able to get out of a mini menu in combat more quickly and without having to hunt for the little red box. Why not allow players to hit escape or another key to cancel out of those little menus. In combat, you display icons at the bottom of the screen for each unit. The icon notifies the user if the unit has a move and/or attack left. I want to be able to click the move or attack icon displayed there and have not just select the unit as it currently does, but to have it select move or attack depending on which icon I clicked on. Thanks!
UPDATE:
Viking Raiders now supports hot keys! You can find the hotkey info under the 'Game' tab to the right of the game while playing, or here: http://www.viking-raiders.com/?page_id=71
Keep the suggestions coming!
Not only does this game offer free advertisement of nintendo games, but a vast majority of the games are no longer for sale in any form, wiiware or otherwise...
Couldn't help but notice AngryCyc has the highest score...Does that count as one of the top 4 scores then? Wouldn't be surprised if he won the drawing then :p
What I would really like to see from this game is a "custom game" where we start out with basic station + resources against differing AI levels with the same. Only on one or two levels could I actually get a base up and enjoy the combat. Most of the time I was, due to lack of hot keys, clicking and reclicking furiously to build the (only) strategy that worked on a given map. Many of the maps were over in less than 3 minutes.
As Darvious described, the screen is not following my character and I can't see what's happening. Hard to choose a target for my fireball when all I see is a black wall and a corner of a room I may or may not be in...
@ jwilkes999: I got a gold star in a couple tries on level 3. I think starting position is important...Try starting from Antarctica or Australia. Lots of choke points, lots of expanding options.
I understand what you're trying to do with your plea for higher ratings to get funding. That doesn't make the argument legit, however. I am a teacher and I don't say to my students "Give me a 5/5 rating and I will do my job better next time". If you want a 5/5 make a game that deserves it and quit shilling for ratings.
Yeah, I guess I should clarify. What we are requesting is that players not hold ratings ransom, in other words give low ratings until their requested feature is implemented. ie. "I would have given you 4/5 but right now 1/5 until you add flying pony guns!"That's what we are trying to discourage as it won't allow us to add flying pony guns, it's not proactive. If you think the game is a rated something else on it's merits, by all means rate away.
Concept is really cool, but the execution is weak. There are too many bugs in gameplay. When you get near the edge of the screen he becomes unresponsive. When you jump out of the water, you go in slomo, but everything else is traveling normally. Pretty annoying problems. Otherwise, fun and funny game.
If your enemy's assault card has flurry + crush and your opposing assault card has regeneration, you can get crushed twice in the same round for that one card?! That sucks!
Maybe it's an automatic function of your laptop, some laptops has this thing where when using trackpad, the keyboard is disabled.
