Also, when playing, I definitely liked it when the voice said "Good boy/girl", but the first time the voice said "Ugly creature" I was somewhat offended... sort of like being protected and coddled all your life only to find out when you do what you want things don't always turn out right. However, when I played again and resolved to disobey the whole time, when the voice scolded me saying "how disappointing", and "ugly creature", I felt defiant and was happy that the voice was angry... interesting, interesting.
I definitely liked the psychology of this game. Very exciting.
So the first time through I did a mix of obeying and disobeying which yielded colors and details. In the end however, since I had disobeyed more than obeyed (I kept dying), I was told I was "loved" and then given the choice to stay close or go. I chose to stay close... what I found was interesting was then I was told "We begin anew" or something to that effect. So basically, even though I rebelled, in the end my final deciding choice left me with the voice and we got to start over. Whether the starting over reflected a new better life, or the same old patterns I don't know; however, if I had to guess, I would say the "beginning again" reflects being stuck in the same rut/trap and never escaping the monotony and pain life can bring.
