For those saying this game is old and shouldn't be in the new game section, it is a new version. Perhaps Addicting Games thought that it was upgraded enough to warrant a new release.
I'm hoping that the reversion to an older version is a glitch or a temporary fix for a problem. I liked the updates (like not getting robbed of three stars just because the crypt bolt felt like doing a few laps around a pirate's parrot before hitting)
In case Ninja Kiwi isn't getting the message: Too much grind. Offer either higher rewards for getting the trophies, or an increased percentage of blops.
Or, if you want to get people to play your game for longer, spread things out. More levels, and more, smaller grades in the research and upgrades. Yes, this will mean that you'll need to put more effort into the game, but that's what's necessary to make something people will keep playing.
Towers on high ground seem to gain XP slower than other towers. High ground tower at the beginning of stage 8 ended up behind towers toward the end of the stage.
Decent start of a tower defense. Dislike the fact that the guns withdraw as the aliens get close. At least wouldn't be so bad if they'd turn around once the alien had passed. Also, the straight line, side-scrolling path the aliens take kind of limits the idea of tactics. It really comes down to damage per second. Also, would be good to know that the rocket, unlike the other weapons, is automatically used once you click on it.
It's a great game, but there's not enough premium content, and not enough things to do in the whole game, to be worth 50 Kreds. For the same amount, you get a ton of stuff for Bloons, and that game can easily eat up _days_ of your life if you add the hours together.
If the sequel is this awesome, but with branching upgrades, more levels, and and more challenges, I could easily get the premium content.
Hey, Kongregate. If there's a game that has a known bug that makes the game difficult to play from the very beginning, maybe don't give the developers the boost in traffic by making the game badge of the day.
I want to play this game. I love catapult-style games. But it is so slow. Two different load screens (okay, one of them is a rendering screen), a tutorial that moves at a snail's pace, and there's a huge lag when I destroy the enemy fortifications and a new accomplishment pops up. I'm not going to rate the game right now. I'm going to come back to it in a month or so and hope that it's been improved, because it really looks awesome.
There are a number of bugs and issues. None of them super-problematic for the game, but all of them annoying enough to add up to a pretty severe detraction from the game. There are a bunch of buttons that don't seem to do anything. No speed up button. You can easily ace any level by releasing all waves at once and quickly using the points to level up a bunch of towers. You aren't kept in the same difficulty setting when you progress to the next level. At least one level (third of the open maps) won't let you complete it in some difficulties (I open it in "normal" mode, but when I actually play, it's on easy, and I don't get the Normal XP.) I love this game, still, and I'm super happy that there are no "juggling required" levels. I just think it could be even better.
Beating a track on hard doesn't get you the bronze and silver medals as well as the gold? :/ *grumbly* Other than that, amazingly awesome game. I foresee myself wasting a ton of time on this. (And thank you for including a way to switch quality)
Love the art. Always love new training sims. Only issue I'm having is that, during hunts, the students tend to go out of their way to get hung up on a lake, often leaving one or more of the group out of a fight.
Yep. Lag. It starts when I first start clicking on stuff in the city (picked up the brick), then freezes my computer periodically throughout. I don't have the world's best gaming computer, but neither is it a paperweight.
I had to give up once in the office, because it took me 30 minutes to get there. I was thinking it was the grainy image effect that was causing the delay, but it started pushing my CPU usage to 100% before I clicked "start." As with Brilliand, I noticed that camera/microphone are being accessed.
I'd really like to not go rushing at an enemy when I target it with bolt or any other targeted spell. If I'm casting spells, I'm trying to pick off the enemies from a distance, not rush into their midst.
Also, seconding trentthetiger's request for a save function.
Good game, though. I'd love to see a sequel.
Speed upgrades from Battle Standards seem broken. If a Guard Tower is affected by three or four Battle Standards, it fires a steady stream of arrows/bolts/cannonballs, reminding me of the Super Monkey from the Bloons series. The other towers have a much more limited rate of fire, even if affected by the same Battle Standards. Ends up making a single Guard Tower far more dangerous than a seriously upgraded Hero.
Kong glitch...
