Dear Kongregate,
When all of the comments on a game are about how big of a pain it is to grind to even the supposedly simple badges, please do not make it badge of the day.
Thank you.
Like everyone else has said, there is way too much importance placed on gold...
...except when you absolutely can't get a crystal or iron mine. Granted, once you have one of each, you're fine, but if you're missing one, you're screwed.
Also, game slows horribly when units are visible on screen. I almost never have slowing issues on my computer, but even a handful of peasants causes the game to slow to a crawl.
Good game for the most part.
The text in the background of the play area is distracting, making it more difficult to track the coins and incoming fire.
To the game developer:
I love these kinds of "raise your monster/prince/princess" games, and was ecstatic to see one on Kongregate.
The one big issue that I had was that the Stress system bothered me. In some cases, it was things that didn't make sense (like the fact that Legen gets more stressed when he finds treasure). In others, it was just that Stress seems a bit overbearing. It builds very quickly, and takes so much to get rid of. There are no toys/potions/whatever to help get rid of Stress. At times, it made the game feel slow.
Fun at first, but the training scenarios quickly become tedious. Leveling should happen exponentially more quickly as you last longer and longer in training.
Also, it seems like the choice of duck really doesn't matter, because it just makes you do more training in those skills in which your duck isn't talented.
Decent game, but halfway through, I was no longer wanting to see more of the story, but just wanted to get it done so I could get my points. Really tired of running from one end of the house to the other, then back again.
As has been said, the levels are long, and 3x is too slow.
It's also difficult to keep track of everything that's going on; the game window is so small compared to the maps.
