I wonder then if the census of larvae is thus actually accurate? Is it possible you are actually producing orders of magnitude more larvae than the count gives? But as they are already committed to maintaining the warrior class, or possibly members of the worker class that do not yet have something producing them, they are not counted in the production tally? I venture to say yes. This is obviously a complex civilization, with sophisticated means of record keeping. Plus their planet must be huge.
I have developed an hypothesis as to how it is possible to have so much meat on one planet (since ascension is apparently the only way to traverse space.) These bugs must be cannibals. There is no other way to produce meat at such exponential rates and maintain the level of population growth these things have. Unless they are immortal, drones must be collecting the corpses of their dead and adding them to the meat pile. For the warrior class this must mean that when a number of them are purchased, you not only have ordered that many to be produced, but also maintained as their numbers never fall, but surely they are occasionally killed or die from disease or myriad other possible causes of death.
This is a great game. I especially appreciate the tips of the hat to Starcraft and the Zerg. It's like I am the Overmind, the eternal will of the Swarm, and they have been created to serve me!
Also a few ideas, just for fun: future experimental fuels should include some "unstable" ones that have a chance of increasing heat exponentially with every tick (until meltdown, of course); experimental components for heat reduction, capacitors, etc (w/percent chance of random failure...since it's experimental??; components to control the reaction (in gameplay this might be a means to reduce heat produced by each fuel per tick, possibly also sacrificing some power production?).
Just some thoughts I had for the developer, take them or leave them. Good game regardless 4/5
This reactor is obviously not regulated by any governing body. I'm hoping it's not located on planet earth. Between the near apocalyptic levels of heat generated and spewed into the atmosphere (presumably) and the ridiculous number of catastrophic meltdowns I have incurred whilst experiment, the surrounding area up to at least 150 miles is completely uninhabitable. This reactor is the sole cause for global warming. You're welcome. ;)
Probably just my cruddy internet connection, but the game keeps crashing on me. Which is too bad. I really enjoy it, just as I enjoyed the original kingdom rush.
Can't believe I am not allowed to opt out of the "tutorial" spending of the few measly diamonds you get for free. Is there no end to their greed? Can't even let the player choose what to spend a few measly free diamonds on? This is a bunch of crap.
The economy in this game can get a little insane, might need some balancing. I'm currently purchasing light repair drones for $573/unit at peafo league in the second level and selling them at Astrox station for $1602/unit. In three runs I have made over $260k. Not complaining, really, but by taking advantage of this now, I can reasonably purchase the best equipment in the game after perhaps 5 or 6 runs. While exciting, this seems a bit unbalanced as it allows you to potentially walk through to the higher levels with nearly no challenge or risk.
Perhaps this is not a frequent occurrance in the game, but it's something to think about/fix. Otherwise, this game is quite excellent. 5/5
Just burned through 8k gems after epic upgrading my blacksmith with no improvement on my pick. either my pick is that awesome or i am severely unlucky. kinda wish i could just buy a pick since i have enough money to purchase the planet several hundred times over.
very fun game, but my God is it buggy. everytime i get a good office tower going some bug rears its ugly head and destroys it...3/5. if you fix the bugs 5/5.
perhaps it is because i spent 3 hours playing this or perhaps its because i don't understand why many of the combos make what they do bu ti think this is a terrible game of guessing. there doesnt seem to be much logical sense behind many of the combinations.
