It's really, I mean REALLY annoying that the menu items shift so slowly before and after battles. And this causes a major bug too.
To reproduce it: enter a battle, and after winning it, quickly press the "GO" button (as if you already had a thousand fights and just want to continue). If another battle begins BEFORE the menu items shifted back to place, the only available option for that battle will be "GO", that basically passes by the attackers (even if they would attack you anyways, like if you're carrying a package). This would not be so annoying, but if the destination shows up instead of the next battle, then you will actually pass by the town, wandering around in the vast nothing, with the occassional attacks from the enemy parties. Now THIS is annoying.
Cyba, I'm on Linux too, but it works just fine.
Which flash player are you using? I'd recommend Adobe's, because although it doesn't work exactly like the MS W version, it's still the closest to that.
Pretty much unfair game. I'm thinking about those levels where you are supposed to know that if you jump to certain death just over there, a magical platform will materialize under you, saving that pitiful red thing and simultaneously paving your way to the end of the level.
And 19 IS impossible.
Bestiary totally f.ed up, many monsters have mistaken entries. In the shop, the acid arrow is sold for a different price than it is written, after running past monsters, they swing their weapon and hit thin air, while I still take damage. And the grammar is horrible. "Exploads"? "Poisinous"? No way. Also needs an autosave function and several buttons to the pause menu, like "return to main menu", "bestiary" or "inventory".
And achievements. Dear god, an achievement for getting shot with a freezing arrow??? An achievement for buying EVERY SINGLE SHOP ITEM? You are missing some basic gaming principles here. Achievements are for something that needs to be "achieved".
This game is so bad in so many aspects that it is a miracle that it got badges. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't have spent a minute on it.
It may be my fault, but I didn't get many things.
First of all, who the f am I? Wose side do I fight on? Who are my enemies? (besides of red nautiluses and flying boars that all shoot the same type of bullet that does greatly varying damage) Why is my dragon only damageable on it's cannon's tip?
And finally, WHY ON EARTH DO I DIE FROM A SINGLE SHOT?
Is it possible that flying does not work for me?
I acquired the ability, confirmed by the game, then I have tried holding the UP button while standing still, while running and while falling from a cliff, but did never work.
I suspect that either my Ubuntu OS, or Firefox browser or the Linux version of Adobe's flash player might cause this bug.
But nonetheless, it is VERY annoying.
The puppy challenge would be great for torturing the captives of any prison camp, and that is also true for the sword-and-shield against the dragon one.
Awkward controls and the aforementioned reasons give it one star rating.
