Harbormaster: How was your day?
Me: OK I guess. Unfortunately my boat sank...
Harbormaster: Wow! What happened? Rocks? Whales? Pirates?
Me: ... um ... shrimp...but they were red ...definitely not pink...
To the developer: Great game. I liked the puzzle difficulty. 4 was a challenge the first time, but not that hard once you get all the flies working together. Only had to reset on level 8 due to flies getting stuck in the flaps.
Great game, but my arms hurt. Played it twice. 14 minutes and ~7k clicks the first time. 6:56 2622 keys the second time. Woo hoo. (ow, typing now hurts)
Made it to the end. Took a long time and was very tedious as mentioned by others. Focus on speed upgrades is important. I finally quite upgrading anything other than speed and more research projects. Not going to make the second trip...
Can you tell me more details about the issue (in private message)? I see several same complaints, but really don't understand which behaviour you mean.
OK. How the heck do you get the 3rd star on 3-7. Even the walkthroughs I could find don't show how to get the star for not crossing lines. I have been able to figure out all the others in level 3 by a little bit of trial and error (and luck).
suspend - land your orbitals on three of the high spots, build a couple mortars and beams for each - next add a few sprayers and shields on each to support - use guppy to get a foothold on the fourth plateau - a lot of balancing - i lost lots of things and had to send an orbital back to space when it only had 8 health, but then brought it back to a different plateau and fought through.
2 things: 1) why can the autopilot turn on a dime, but my manual turns are very sluggish and wide? 2) I only find 2 types of asteroid in the first 14 systems I have visited. This makes it hard to complete the jobs.
Otherwise, a good game once you get used to the controls. Don't know how many times I forgot to change out mining and regular lasers and had to go back to the station or forgot to arm lasers after leaving a station until I was getting shot at.
If you beat the Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 times on Super Game, you should get the achievements. It is sometimes easier on Super Game because the gun isn't spinning around like in the Game version. The spinning has caused me to mis-click a number of times and tends to just slow me down.
Found a few flaws. If you accept, but do something else in the meantime (visit a few islands and trade, start a fight outside the specified zone) the big cylinder that highlights the mission disappears and you can't complete the mission. If this happens, the only way to get the mission going again is to get killed. If you have to kill yourself, it is best to go to a nearby port first as this saves the game and then you can die after selling off all your goods.
Also, I increased my charisma, and the price for the 40000 ship went down to 34000, but I could not buy the ship until I had over 40000 gold. In the end I think it charged me the lesser amount, but it wouldn't let me buy the ship when I had 38000. Also, with added charisma, the prices I pay for goods go down, but does the price I get paid go down?
I suppose since there isn't an authorized repair center on Earth, that is why he doesn't fix his armor before the return trip? Also, with anti-grav maxed, it makes it really hard to fall back home. It might be nice if you could turn it off.
Once the auto-spammers get to be too much, put the speed on 3 and re-run the level several times without sending units. You still get money. Kinda cheesy, but better than fighting a losing battle over, and over, and over...
I gotta have a shrimp boss in the final version now.
