Come on people! You should have the generations go for more than just two or three! Unless you have a slow computer. Seriously, give the creatures a chance to evolve.
I'm doing a constellation project here where I'm going to do some of the constellations in walkinator. I'll be doing the more complex or interesting constellations since some constellations are pretty simple shapes.
Hrm, I'm now seeing the bug mentioned earlier and probably the same one agentcow is seeing. Put in the portals, push the up arrow 8 times to increase their size (that's just the size I used), put a ragdoll in and you've got an infinite loop of blood going through.
The screen didn't go black when I pushed 'r' though.
It's really trial and error and on top of that, it is random every time you start a new 'generate animation' evolution line.
The main issue is that there aren't proper joints and the sim doesn't know how to use limbs properly. There are alot of things that aren't perfect about it, but it definetly deserves a sequel with upgraded capabilities.
The art is good and the concept is cool (although I don't really like this type of game that much), the only real problem is the very long intro to each level.
