Would be nice to be able to modify the way you want, so if you want an artillery halo or miner with 3x rate of fire you could pay platinum to get exactly what you want, instead of relying upon random luck.
Pincer really depends upon range, I just played a pincer where both ais started really far away. Before I could do much one of the AIs got out hammerhead and was able to slam me with long range artillery.
Is it just me or are pincers easier than some skirmishes and flanks? For example, most pincers you can effectively turret rush both AIs at the same time. Yet, on skirmishes and flanks sometimes an A.I. is so far away you cannot turret rush. Flanks particularly it is impossible to turret rush the further away A.I. Meaning if they get capital ships quickly and crush the middle A.I. you could get 5+ capital ships rushing you before you hit +41 energy from reactors. Same goes with skirmishes. One A.I. crushes the other, but not before a large build up of capital ships that swarm towards your base. As opposed to a duel where the capital ships would be staggered and you could mow down 1-2 a time.
I've beaten plenty of bats, but the one on lv.21 seems impossible, I'm not sure how I beat them before, or what their weakness is, but it always seems able to attack.
Heyo, the secret to kill a bat is to skip a turn in place. Attacking something makes you finish your turn in place. I hope that helps you figure out a solution (:
