Slaloms... they're kinda hard. You practically need not only max engine upgrades to reach enough gates, but you also have to, you know, actually know how to drive a car. Tap on the brake a bit. It might slow you down a smidge, but you'd be amazed how many more gates you can hit when you use it effectively and properly. (Hint: Try doing that to reach the inside gates on turns.)
Had trouble playing this before, couldn't beat the dragon. Saw daily badge was to kill the dragon, played it with brand new data, slew the dragon on the first try with pure luck on the crits. I feel awesome.
Unlocked the achievement that unlocks after unlocking every other achievement without actually unlocking every other achievement. Apparently you unlock that one by just buying everything. I have yet to reach space enough times to get the last achievement for reaching space.
...honestly? After reading Millie's diary, I almost feel sorry for having to kick her ass. Almost. If she hadn't brought out that damn superweapon out of nowhere after I BARELY beat her in her AMU, I probably would truly feel sorry then.
...it sucks when you finally manage to break out of Candyland, but at that instant, you were above the cotton candy clouds and didn't get to see your sweet victory. Pun unintentional.
I haven't played that much of this game (started the second dungeon), but I'm already loving it. If I had one complaint, it would be the fact that phoenix feathers don't auto target KO'd characters. Most RPGs I've played auto target KO'd characters when you use a revive item, so it would be nice to have so I don't accidentally waste one on a self target.
Madagascar is OP. Seriously. Ships RARELY land there, and when you start in it, it takes until all but 30,000 people in the country to get an infection before even one ship departs from there. If they'd closed their shipyards, they literally would have contained my disease and everyone there and only there would have died while the rest of the world lives on without infection.
In Misplaced Cave, in the room where there's a set of challenging jumps which leads to a star, I'm stuck on the second half of that section. I can't figure out how to complete it, but I can't leave the room unless I quit the game and go back to my house, which would cause me to lose all the lives I racked up. I understand the reason for the checkpoint, but there should also be a way for the player to leave if he can't finish the challenge. I'm frustrated to the point of punching my laptop right now as a result of this.
Find 99 mushrooms, you're a sleek fox. Find 100 mushrooms, you're an obese fox. Really? Also, I think there should be a limit to how high you can actually fly in future games. I can mash the up arrow all day, and the fox falls ever so gently back to Earth with a graceful landing. And the background never moves one pixel when I do so. XD
Setari: Zombies lose their shotties if you get (and keep) their danger level down from the high levels those last areas start with. Hope that helps you out. If you ever see this.
Personally? I found hitching a ride on the dragon rather difficult. But once you manage it, and can get several in a row, getting the maxed multiplier achievement was a piece of cake. Even pulled off 5 mil in one run. And I still don't know how that happened. X3
CyberRhino: Try reading the library. It explains pretty much anything you need to know about the damage system. Though if you've ever played Dungeons and Dragons, you should have caught on quite easily.
Accuracy is determined by your attack skill vs. the opponent's defense skill, and that is compared to a roll of D100.
Hopefully that answers some of the questions you have about damage.
The one major complaint I have about this game is accidentally clicking off screen. There have been many an occasion where I click off screen trying to fire my weapon, and it causes me to take damage I otherwise would have been able to avoid because the game doesn't pause if it's not the active window. Otherwise, I had fun playing this game. Last boss was a bit challenging, but nothing the awesome laser couldn't handle.
MeetTheCreepah: Your camera moves based on where your cursor is. Move the cursor to the edge of the screen, and you can get them to spawn early and shoot them well before they get to you while running backwards.
This reminds me of my programming classes at Full Sail. Only far less complicated. As for the turning commands, the left one means clockwise, the right one means counterclockwise. The former moves like a clock, the latter a NASCAR driver on an oval track. If you can think of it like that, you should be good to go.
Oh shut up. :P
