Unfortunately, I think some people are giving this game a little more credit than it deserves. This game was made in RPG Maker VX, meaning that a lot of what's being used isn't an original design. While the developer clearly put a lot of effort into this game, I have to echo the other comments: too repetitive, no character depth, lackluster storyline, and expensive items.
Not to mention the failure in execution of quite a few basic RPG Maker elements.
3/5 for effort.
