(2/2) Speaking of science: more science in general. Maybe have one of each core attribute for each science level. There is a vast abundance of force and availability science but only 1 for land, wealth and science.
Love the game by the way and thanks again for helping with the lost save during the big update.
Suggestions regarding land: the way it seems to work now seems balanced, except there isn't enough land. The systems increase in cost (to merely locate) far too quickly. At 14 included, it will take me over a day, maybe more, to find the next one, and that is with a million tier 1 vision buildings and all the higher tiers that that allows.
So the suggestions are (and not all of them are required really, one or two would probably suffice): Make the cost for new systems scale slower. Make systems have more land later on (at +5 or +10 counts). Double the allowance for land buildings per system. Add an intermediate land building between planet and dyson, since jumping from trillions to octillions is... well a big leap. A damn big leap. Magnitude of like... I don't even know. Make land science affect system land or add an earlier land science at lesser effect. (1/2)
I like your suggestions but they will get lost in the deluge of commentary in this particular venue of discussion. If you put them in the wiki, they will not get lost.
I'm really disturbed by all these people who are losing their saves. Did you have auto backup on? If so, can you export the backup? If not, how many slots were you playing? If you have another slot like the one you lost, could you send that one to me? It's difficult to tackle this without any visibility into the problem.
In addition to the previous post: seems all my income was from systems. Is it intented that systems income can't be spent on truth? If so, I did not locate a bug.
Bug located: You cannot buy truth buildings (and presumably any buildings that drain wealth) if your income is only higher than the requirement because of truth/research. In this case I can't buy the Altar of Truth (-25k wealth per second) even though I make 365k per second.
Constructive feedback: you should have waited for autobuy dependencies before restoring them in full force. Each highest level wealth building requires over 14k of the level 1 building. Dependencies make sense and add a tad to gameplay, but the combination of the chore of buying all them combined with the extreme footprint required for just 1 building? I only had 42 of the highest ones, it kicked me up to 235 footprint. Not cool.
I had 10 land. I had a footprint less than that. Now I have a footprint of 235. It literally gave me 600k+ of the first wealth building for the prereqs.
And the final wealth building is back to 20 hours to pay for itself. And with the first wealth upgrade being in the 5th tech tab, getting it down to 10 hours will take a looong time. :/
An alternate choice to military is to go them fantasy guys with bows n mages. Just plop down a big tower and an archers inn. Boom, protected. Proceed to do whatever it takes to win.
Could we perhaps have bigger fonts? Half-blind people such as myself might mistake that mystery symbol in front of the protectomon stats as minuses and not plusses. In fact, I had to zoom in to be sure. I almost restarted thinking I got a permanent -1 base damage on 2 mage types.
A very nice game, but the upgrade costs could use some balancing. In most cases, it's more cost effective to build more than upgrade, unless if you're looking to create killzones.
Example is the splash vs magic tower, on the first level of splash it's cheaper to build a new tower for a greater damage increase than upgrading an existing one would be. While on the splash tower, upgrading it once is equal in cost but garners a small range boost, and another upgrade for $200 is a big boon in damage. The $300 upgrade is not worth it since the increase in damage pretty much took a jump off a cliff.
Still a very nice game. Some more fields of upgrade would be nice, and also some more information about how splash and poisons work would be nice.
Thank you.
