I liked it. seemed to me like the wall-jumping worked as intended. I do wish you could jump from a free-fall once you've acquired the double-jump ability. Having said that it was easy enough to give a slight hop before falling.
Good difficulty for me since I was actually able to beat the game, but it took multiple deaths on some of the stages.
To everyone complaining that it's impossible to drift through a whole lap on the first race, I found it to be pretty simple.
Just don't let off the gas, ever. Anything constitutes a drift, you don't have to be out of control for it to count.
I'm rating this a 5 to counteract all the dummies on here with ADHD.
