Wow progress really slows down after around tier 13 or 14. You should consider some kind of prestige system to increase income...maybe be able to prestige after complete X number of 5 clovers?
Perhaps rather than a fixed rate of fire (regardless of the number of tanks) you could have both sides fire a volley of rounds, and on the next turn, any tanks still standing can send another volley. That, or have each tank fire at a fixed rate of speed. It would be much more realistic than one tank doing the same amount of damage as 8 tanks. Then you could add another upgrade option to increase the rate of fire.
Also, the ability to buy/use a variety of ammunition would be a nice touch. i.e. shrapnel rounds that do splash damage, incendiary rounds that do extra damage over time, and ice round that freeze a tank so that it can't fire... just a thought
This would be great paired with an idle/rpg game, where you have collect money/resources to upgrade weapons. Obtainable skills could include decreasing money/resource requirements upgrades, chance to salvage resources if upgrade fails, chance that weapon level doesn't drop to 0 if upgrade fails. That's the kind of game I'd enjoy playing.
It would be nice if I could buy more breeders. It would also be nice to be able to spend money on mutation chance upgrades, considering that there is so little to spend money on
Well that was fun. Looking forward to seeing an updated version. I'd like to see a difference in the sword's appearance when it is successfully upgraded. And while you only need a +9 to unlock the next sword, it'd be nice if you could still upgrade beyond that point. Perhaps add an auto upgrade, if the your bonus percentage is high enough to guarantee a successful upgrade. 4/5
Highest round on personal effort was 64. Highest round by cheating and maxing everything except gold, round 68. With unlimited gold, round 80. Your weapons get way too expensive very quickly (even with the 60% discount). And the enemies way to OP. You should consider ability to upgrade weapons in game. Perhaps more variety of weapons too.
Am I the only one seeing the memory leak? After a few hours of playing, the game was using up every bit of 8GB of memory. I caused my machine to freeze and I had to do a forced reset. I like it so far, and it has good potential, but you really need to figure out the cause of the memory leak.
I like the graphics and the game has great potential! Unfortunately the progress is way too slow for all the effort that goes into it. 3 starts for now.
Is anyone else having a problem with the Thanks Giving event? I have a red exclamation mark on the Events tab. When I click Events, it tells me how much time is left on the event, but no event details, no achievements/objectives, and no stack of event orbs popping up on the screen. I tried playing on Steam and Kongregate, got the same thing both times. Anyone else seeing this?
5 stars!! I am very much enjoying this game. I just hit business level 1000. I noticed at a certain point in my progress that filling ink orders becomes much more profitable than trying to sell ink, or waiting on chests to spawn. Unfortunately however, it seems that a large percentage of the orders I get, I can't afford recipe(s) for. I'll have to let them one go and wait on the next one. Any chance you might be able to write some logic into the order generator to ensure that all orders are capable of being filled when they are generated?
5 Stars!! Very well done. If I could make just a couple suggestions, I would I would like to see an upgrade to the Buff Collapser mod to hide all buffs, and a hack that would automatically send your party to the next area when the current area is "Faceroll".
Nice start. I see a lot of potential here. Looking forward to seeing an update. Question. When the drones bounce off an object, are you generating a new random trajectory, or using supplementary angles to change the trajectory? I know from a programming stand point, that random trajectory would be easier to code. However, using supplementary angles would be much closer to resembling natural physics, and would allow you to better predict where a drone is going to wind up. Not to mention that as long as the drone doesn't get stuck in a loop, then it would have a better chance of eventually reaching the corners where the rare materials are, rather than waiting on blind chance. ...Just a thought. Good luck with this project!
Hello, I am using their collision hitbox to change the trajectory. At this point, with plans to have thousands of drones on screen in the future the more collision points I add to the drones, the more lag the game will have. Right now it isn't bad because only class A drones are unlocked. But once we reach further down the line, to add X amount of collision points, to actually round off the sprite would cause performance issues. It's a trade off for now to be honest.

I'm still enjoying this game very much. The event however, not so much. Assuming that there are only 3 upgrades for each faction, it’ll take an entire week to collect enough orbs. Considering that the event only lasts for one week, it would require a person to start collecting orbs as soon as the event starts and continue "babysitting" the game for the entire duration. Considering that the orb stacks cap at 480, one would have to return to the game every 8 hours (or less) to avoid losing orbs. Not likely very many will pull that off? I get that events should be challenging, but this one is just impractical. I know I'm not the only one that would appreciate a little more time to complete the event. Or maybe raising/removing the orb cap, or even a low chance for assistance to collect orbs in order to collect enough. Please consider modifying the limits of the event, so that more players will have a chance to complete it.
Awesome game, well balanced. I'm guessing you spent a lot of time developing each of the different factions, I'm very impressed. One quick comment though, from a programmer's perspective. Not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but it seems to me that you may have a memory leak somewhere in your code. I'm running the game in Firefox. And that is the only tab/window I have open in Firefox. When I first load the game it uses 400-500MB of memory. That alone seems to be pretty extreme, but if I leave and let it run, after about a day it climbs to about 1.5GB, and by the second day it exceeds 2GB and Firefox crashes. Just something to think about...as annoying as it is, having Firefox crash on me all the time, it's not enough to keep me from playing Realm Grinder.
ultimate gem mine is a nice touch, but as fast as I'm collecting gems, I need to be able to sell them faster. Perhaps you could add a couple of buttons to buy 1,000,000 and 10,000,000 clicks
I agree with gamemaniac101. Also I might suggest that with higher numbers of people, that you reduce the number of people actually displayed on screen. I noticed that with a couple thousand people on screen my PC really starts to lag. It's not as much fun to be able to have 20K peopel and not actually benefit from them if it causes my PC to crash. I wound up having to shorten the life span because the people where spawning way faster than they where dying.
The buff collapser idea will probably come soon. The other suggestion MAY be in the game when you get a little farther.. :)
