Found a sniper pistol with 5 MOD slots. Kitted it out with Damage + Fire Rate + Anti armor (x2) + Reload mods and now it's doing about 300+ damage per second. It never runs out of ammunition. It's pretty much God mode.
By the way - the key to getting the best MODs is Exploring the town. Eventually you'll come across an event called "Gift" which gives you a random MOD, but with higher chance of getting high grade 3 MODs then in the Smithy or through recycling. Keep loading your saved state when you have that event, until it gives you the MOD you are looking for.
Got much further when I equipped 2 Gravity guns on teammates - takes care of damage, reloading, ammunition and aiming all at the same time (which are the main problems with equipping any other weapon in the game pretty much, even with MODs). One gravity ball making its way to the other side will kill 6-7 enemies easily, even if they are tanks/dragons.
Shotgun is the other key to this game: Holding down Space bar permanently causes instant rapid reloading. I'm doing 39x4 with Anti Armour 3 and Damage Mod 3. Pretty much makes an assassin shot with some crowd control capability.
Just started this game..! I do love tactics style games, and this one seems true to the formula. The other commenters were right about the speed of gameplay being too slow! But other than that the graphics are great and it's otherwise a fairly decent effort! Well done.
Very interesting take on the battle mechanics for an RPG. Quite innovative and intuitive. Well done! Looking forward to see what the rest of this game has to offer.
They should highlight the unit that the cursor is hovering over so that we know we're clicking the right unit instead of the overlapping one in front of it.
I really love this game, but the lag is making it unplayable. My ship just bounces around the screen three quarters of the time. Pretty much if anything at all fires at me it will lag, and if I fire back it will lag twice as much. It's hopeless!
