In a game where enemies can hit you from off the screen for massive damage, having to rely on health pickups that drop only when they feel like it is the worst experience you can possibly ask for.
When I check all the good(?) weapon locations right away and find nothing for my trouble, I feel ripped off.
When I check up to four locations in one day and find nothing whatsoever, I feel cheated.
When I see a squad of fat grandmas running at my survivors with hatchets, I feel like I've been conned out of my fun.
When I see that all my used traps and such are still gone when I retry after an inevitable death, I die a little inside.
When I start over out of stubborn determination and blow through everything with the hunting rifle and chainsaw, I feel like I've gotten sweet revenge.
The warlock is simply infuriating, and while I'm QUITE sure others have done so before, I'm going to complain anyway. Don't get me wrong, the rest of the game all depends on you if you win or not, but the warlock? Defending against his fire works alright even though it's a bit iffy (I could possibly defend indefinitely if he would stop throwing attacks nearly point-blank at my sides). But what about actually hitting that laughing pain in the arse? Perhaps I'm being harsh and/or bitter, but when the absolute best advice that I can find to actually hit him is "mash attack" (No, seriously), I begin to think something's wrong. It feels less like a game of skill and/or trial and error and more a game of sheer dumb luck. Everything else is solid, and works well once you have an idea of what to do.
To anyone who's beaten every mission in the main mode and is confused at why they don't have everything... The medals from the challenges count as loot, as well.
Anyway, this game is very well done. The challenge is there, so are the "upgrades", and no bloody "grind, buy stuff, grind better, buy more stuff" routine. I like that... this game gets five stars from me.
After spending... twenty minutes going after that hard badge, I must say the music kept me from tossing my computer out the window. This is a good game. Hard, but fair.
You don't even get others to race against. This game has nothing to keep players in, other than "Beat your best time". I have the attention span of a gnat when it comes to games like this...

this is a fairly decent swordfighting/rpg game, however there's just a few things wrong, First, the hero seems to refuse to attack after using a knife/spell. second, the spellcasters just seem cheap, i made ALL the way to the swamp map (no passwords), and had my adventures ruined by one thing, DRYADS, cheapness given form! (almost) ALL the enemies even RELATED to them cast spells, the forest spirits annoy you with blind spells, but the dryads themselves freeze you so you can't do **** (as far as i know) and when there's 3 of them, consider yourself dead, because they just spam it to death! (AGAIN, as far as I know) ps. do everyone a favor and lower the hunger of the wolf.(the one thats eats all my food for the UMPTEENTH time)
How does this kid get his limbs back after he crashes? actually... maybe i should be asking how he comes back to life after he loses his HEAD, Does his mom just put him back together with thread and needle, and then just bring him back with White magic? Does she have a time machine? Does the kid have super regeneration? Is there an army of them? IS HE EVEN REALLY ALIVE!?!?
The guide to surviving in the god-lands: 1. join a bigger group: more people=more healers and fighters=AWESOMENESS 2. use everyone as a shield: if they get hit first, you can't get hit, however keep in mind some shots are piercing so keep doing that chicken dance of a dodge. 3. NEVER go in front, being in front is equal to saying "here, kill me." so, unless you can take the hits, be the biggest coward and stay FAR back. 4. Support everyone: killing monsters b4 they kill the group and keeping everyone alive is IMPORTANT, because after all, do you REALLY want to survive oryx's castle ALONE? nah, didn't think so. 5.Steal everything good that isn't nailed down. everyone does it, so why not you? just steal everything that drops that has a fame mod EVEN if you can't use it! 6. anti-troll warning. yes,yes the troll face is kinda funny but the act of summoning it... not so, so PLEASE... if you are the class that has stasis... DON'T #$%&ING SPAM IT JUST TO BE A TROLL!!! IT'S NOT FUNNY!
This game REALLY does deserve at least ONE badge, and don't give me that S#$% about risk! this could have 3 badges at most But NG, noooo, they have about 20 badges, and THEY don't get games forced off (or at least no good ones that i heard of) ALSO... a 3.9? HONESTLY!? that's pretty much it, If Nintendo gets mad about THIS MASTERPIECE, I have two things to say: Either take it up with NG, or JUST PUT UP WITH IT, honestly, this ADVERTISES your games!

Great game, survivor mode is really fun too, but if i had to say something bad about this, (Yes i'm going to, sue me...) it would be that it feels too short once you beat it, one more thing... FIX THAT #$^%ING SAVE COMPANION BUTTON!!! Still a 5/5.
I think the only trap where you need the mouse is the face chopper (bedroom trap). also, it seems like the OH S#$% moment at the mirror doesn't activate till you get the hammer. (as for that, doesn't this guy know ANYTHING about horror games/movies, NEVER stick your hand ANYWHERE you cant see.)
This game's ocean needs to be MUCH deeper, I can't even count how many times that, in an attempt to reach the restaurant, I fall at super speed and crash into the floor. Game works well otherwise.

Good review! As for the dryads, just survive the first combat or two, and you'll likely get very good magical items to kill the rest.
