This game is so very close to being a very good game. The live-action footage is a nice change from the regular, and they seem to have done monetization mostly right. The controls and in-game animation are a little on the weak side, but can be overlooked. The energy system can't. It takes nearly 7 hours for the bar to refill, and less than fifteen minutes for it to be emptied in the early stages of the game, and less than that as the game progresses. Cutting back on the time to refresh would be the absolute minimum to be done to make this a good game. Not the the degree of 1 minute per energy, that would be too fast, but maybe about 5 minutes per energy would be the sweet spot.
Spent all day trying for the hard badge. For some time now, I've been haunted by the requirement I see:

I just replayed lvl 2 with a group I beat the game with... my mage did 9x the damage of the rest of the party... 1817 vs 213 and 234 for the warrior and horseman respectively. Given that she has 14 levels on the next highest member, and has no damage abilities, unlike the others...
Intraparty conflicts must be really short. And one-sided.
