Maybe add an infinite mode after you've beaten the game with all the characters - objective: survive as long as possible? Perhaps cut down the regeneration between battles so you can't just rotate the characters forever, or only regenerate health & gain level up points every 10 battles or something? I know I'd play an endless mode like that.

I really like the sandboxiness of this game. It's interesting & kinda unusual - and wow, to have put this together in eight days! I'm pretty impressed. The big hitch for me is the increased distance from the town centre. If they're going to build outward, could they build drop-off points too? Or possibly they could build up instead of building out. There are so many directions you could go with this and I'll definitely be checking back to see what you do :)

With all the good suggestions about new possible "love" types, you could use different shapes to differentiate the ones who will be interested/repulsed by you. Or possibly, over time, the squares change into different shapes based on being around you - like they become circles if you're around them a lot, but some of the circles turn into triangles if you leave them or get closer to others. And then over time they'll return to being squares (unaffected by you). As others have said, there are a lot of possibilities here (adding obstacles maybe? or having the background/environment change based on how many connections you have, and so on?) and it's exciting to imagine what you'll do with them. :)

I'd appreciate an option to turn off the flashing. It's a little hard on the eyes after a while. All in all, a great casual game, well-balanced in terms of difficulty vs. leveling up and it's nice to have the three modes. I'm still confused about treasure, though. I think blowing it up is bad? And if it gets to the bottom of the screen then that's good? I'm not really sure.

Definitely an interesting game. It'd be nice to have more lives and for the food timer to count down only when you move - that would make this more a puzzle game than action, I guess.

It is pretty tedious making the exact same stuff over and over. Gluing all the white bead spaces is also annoying, and beads have to be precisely in the centre of each space to be placed (pixel-perfect). There's no warning for submitting jewelry with empty slots, and it doesn't make sense that customers don't really care if you give them something they didn't ask for.

An okay game - a little repetitive. And very, very buggy, although usually in ways that benefit the player rather than hurt the player. I wish I could click-drag to place towers and possibly also units, as the setup part of this game gets tedious, and an "upgrade all" for your infantry would be cool. Yeah, a click-on-click-off speed toggle would be nice, too. (Why make us hold the button? If we have to hold a button, couldn't we just turn on caps-lock or something?) An in-level timer would help with the timed achievements (does speeding up make the timer run faster or not? does it include set-up time or just attack time?). Alternatively, you could make a stats page that would include "fastest medium level time," "fastest easy level time," etc., which would at least give a reference point. Also, traps seem pretty superfluous. I haven't used them the whole game and haven't missed them.

I made it through level 2, and I'm still not sure what the controls are. I keep clicking - and nothing happens - and then sometimes something does, but Fred the fish will fall in the water anyway. How about a tutorial mode in which you're just learning how the game works and can't be eaten? Or a level 0 before being eaten for not having the hang of the game? Things happen too quickly to learn & get really competent before all kinds of craziness occurs.

In addition to a puzzle non-timed mode, maybe you could have a custom build mode (specify number of colours, size of grid, length of timer) which would give you score modifiers for a leaderboard. I also wish the clock stopped when the firecrackers are busy going off, or that you could detonate while a chain reaction is in progress - it's unfair for longer chains to be penalised by a delay before you can click again.
