In addition to the other comments, I've personally found that the pet heeling system is less than ideal. It takes many berries to heal a higher level wounded pet. But the alternative is staying at the traveler's den, which i simply too expensive. A second note is that I'm finding that finish each only after leveling up many levels beyond the level with the quest for that map, resulting in me getting access to pretty much all the quests for the next map instantly.
