Can the dev's clarify? It appears that $ earned to AIs is based on some logarithmic function.
For instance, in my current game, current $ earned is 4nonillion and lifetime earned is 7nonillion. That means in my current game, I have already earned more than all my previous games combined.
I have 6.5B AI but if I reset my game now, I would only get another 4.5B. I would expect that number to be more than 6.5B if it was a linear scale. So I can only guess that each AI takes slightly more $ than the previous one.
One of the more polished and fun games I've played on Kongregate. The dark enemies were awesome albeit kinda hard to keep up with. In the end, I had to abuse the Pause button in order to win the game on Hard.
Looking forward to more levels and perhaps more planets/bases to discover.
Birds are unavoidable even with the max maneuvering upgrade.
In fact, the best way to play this is to go as slow as possible, dodging big clusters of stars that give you a big speed boost. A bit counter-intuitive and probably not how this game was designed to be played.
Reducing hostile birds is the only upgrade that matters - doesn't help that the devs also made it the most expensive.
Suggestion: You need much more warning time to see oncoming birds. Perhaps even at slow speeds, pan the screen up so we can see more of what's coming. Otherwise, the game really just comes down to luck.
Are unit upgrades actually worth it? E.g. my first marine upgrade will give it a tiny boost to damage, but will double the cost of marines. Every upgrade just seems to make your unit much LESS cost efficient - it just seems so counter-intuitive to upgrade in this game.
