Figured it out, school computers don't have sound hooked up and for some reason that causes the game to not work at all. unless I turn sound off. If anyone else has this problem use the menu and turn your sound off. I will fix this later.
Anyone else seeing glitches? Running it from my school the bullets are not even moving. Also platinum you do play the game, you use your mouse as a tractor beam to help keep the ship alive.
Expect to see any glitches and bugs worked out for smooth sailing. Most gameplay additions will make it into a #2 I already scrapped out Pattern and Speed mode from the original version of this game which I remade. So keep watching for #2 for new fun innovative twists to an old classic.
As far as the ship following the mouse at a set pace I did that a long time ago in the form of engines that were upgradeable, and I didn't like it really. It just feels better when the ship responds exactly to the mouse.
ok Razul and a few others. All your improvements have been noted, and I just now made some huge modifications to correcting enemy lasers, streamlining the game with an Auto-upgrade button, next wave or return to shipyard for those who never want to see the shipyard screen again :) And that annoying unpause button has been removed forever, now it is a humorous screen that you can click on anywhere. :)
@RazulAlanfa "The automatic pause gets in the way and makes your ship jump" - Pause occurs when the screen goes inactive. In other words the game would keep going but you would lose control of your ship like in the game "Upgrade Complete". And I assure you it is much more annoying to watch yourself die, then to click unpause if anything interrupts gameplay :)
@RazuhlAlAnfa "The accuracy stat is useless in a game that uses spread fire." >.> The game does not force you to use spread fire. So take it off and only use beam cannons. Or use 1 spread cannon and just fully upgrade it so you can aim with it. There are sharpshooters out there 100% accuracy players, although it is difficult towards the end of the game to keep getting a high accuracy. I will look into sending the player into a wave fully charged. But if I do that then people don't need to buy shields really, just a lot of batteries. Thanks for your input.
@Jade E. The weapon output and energy charge rate is what will determine how your weapon fires. That design is deliberate, not only the balance of your ship components, but also how you use them will determine how your weapons function. Innovation is the key, this game is one of a kind
Everyone defends in their own way. If I were you I would solve your own problem by clicking slower >.> I prefer to give the player all the power of choice.
