@Reaper660: Your firing isn't based on a random number generator as much as where your target is going to be if it continues its current course. If you aim at the front of your enemy's ship, you'll hit reliably even with low accuracy. Keep in mind that your enemy is also shooting at where you're going to be. When they fire, just alter your course by turning a little and they'll usually miss. Once you figure it all out you can actually fire and hit from a farther distance than they can and take on whatever they can throw at you using any old ship. I'm taking down fleets of corvettes and battleships with crummy little Xebec and utterly humiliating them.
If you are a high enough level to buy a ship and have enough money, but that buy button doesn't appear, this means you've upgraded your charisma. The ticket price of the ship goes down with more charisma, but the but the actual buying price doesn't. this means you'll have to save up to the original price of the ship despite what it says it costs. Too bad charisma also lowers your selling price, making ships in effect more expensive. Don't invest in charisma until it gets fixed.
Charisma lowers the ticket price of ships, but not the actual buying price. Since Charisma also lowers your selling price along with everything else, it just makes ships more difficult to buy in the long run. Don't invest in charisma until it gets fixed.
That paladin and shielder combo is pretty good. Once you get the Paladin to have Holy Quake, you can just Holy Quake yourself up the corporate ladder pretty quickly at the training camp while buying cheerleaders right off the bat.
Wow! The physics in this game sure are infuriatingly frustrating. You gotta have a lot of patience to play it. My driver fell out of the truck for absolutely no reason after I made a two-trailer delivery.
Ha! That crane at the end that's supposed to give you money ends up being like one of those crane game rip-off machines and you just sit there watching your cargo fall back into your cart for a long time.
The easiest way to tell which green guy is an ally or not is wait for your archer to not shoot at it. Never attempt to go after any green guy when your archer's maxed out ;P Also, like a lot of other people, I get the huge lag spike when the larger objects are destroyed, but the 'Q' button doesn't seem to do anything when clicked. If it is the quality button, it should also appear in the upgrade menus between combat so you don't have to frantically click at it during battle. Actually, the Q probably shouldn't even appear in battle at all, but come up when you pause the game or enter the upgrade menu only so you can't frantically click it. Good start so far, though. I played to the end so it definitely has the addiction factor to it.
Hmm, all I did to win every level was half-heartedly send a few ships and subs to sort of defend my base at the beginning while upgrading the resource collection and then maximizing the artillery on the base. When that's done, just click a bunch of times to destroy their base, then click a bunch of times to hold off the boss rush while your artillery slowly defeats the flagship when it finally gets into range. Every level takes a while =\
That horrible Goblin Level on Epic- here's how figured out how to beat it 15-20 minutes: Use close range units because they don't get confused as easily as ranged ones, and no titans! You'll need only the meteor and shield (maxed) spells. This is all about timing, keep all your units fighting in front of your castle and do not attack until you have 400 mana. Watch the other castle for dark imps and if ever there's there's two, use the meteor on them. Wait for your mana to max out and another two imps. Meteor them and charge their castle keep you shield up. You might get the other castle halfway down before running out of mana. Just fall back and start again. When the enemy castle is 1/4 health, it will release a group of dark imps, having 400 mana is very handy for that point.
That Goblin Level on Epic was the worst experience ever. The way I beat it was to get the dragon to move millimeter by millimeter over to the evil castle by selecting him and telling him to move to a certain point as he attacks, this prevented him from moving backwards between attack cycles. Eventually I just gave up and used the shield spell and attacked with everyone. I used the shield spell only until the third horn where I used the meteor to kill off the dark imps. Titans are completely useless in that level. It gave me over a million and a half gold, but totally wasn't worth the hassle.
Looks like the easiest way to win most levels on epic is to max out your mana regeneration and your shield spell. When in the level, wait for your army to build up near the front of you castle until your mana is at around 180. Hit the assault button, use a shield and watch em go. I just used all the smaller faster units and no titans to make it go really fast, but you can probably just use your favorites. Just learn to time when the shield runs out :)
I like this game. but it's much easier hitting the boost fire flies on the way down because there's nothing cluttering the play area at the bottom of the screen. More often than not the good stuff gets hidden by the menu graphics and you see them after you pass them while going up.
