i don't ususally play these kinds of games but i liked this one. the only issue i have is with the "drag" notes. the game doesn't seem to register me grabbing them with the mouse unless i click somewhere close to the middle. and when i drag them it gives me a "missed" message if my mouse comes away from this area.
Razkili, aoeud, i agree that it was cool story. as far as the text goes, it was a wise decision, considering that some viewers need more than just pictures to grasp where the story is going.
to the developer, might i suggest providing an option to include or exclude the text in the future?
great game man, sweet-ass enemy design, and not too shabby with the upgrade system, i like the way it was animated, though you could broaden the weapon variety a bit.
controls were spot-on, though sometimes they seemed a bit sticky to me at times; there were occasions where i would take my hands off the directional buttons and my ship would go shooting off in one direction
also, i notice you have the help and toggle music icons on the screen when the game isn't paused, and i often ended up accidentally clicking on one of these things, and then the music toggles or the help screen would come up unexpectedly. you might contact the kongregate developers and see if you can't get them to move these game-side chat-rooms to a place where they'll be out of my way when i'm playing these point-and-click games. also add in more music tracks.
the last level is horribly flawed, it ended right when i got the first puzzle piece into place, a few awesome music, even though i it sounded like jamaican more than anything. more music tracks (including the ones you already have) and a wind difficulty would make this game....and maybe an upgrade system and some kind of storyline could do this game some good.
it would be nice to have some way of knowing where you left your truck
for those of you who used the walkthrough, it doesn't explain what to do if you get the food instead of the camera.
this is simple: talk to the kid outside the store or whatever it is after getting the food from the merchant. offer him the food you just got in exchange for some handmade sketches of the paintings at that house in the town. meet him there and take the copies that he's holding.
to the author: nice improvement on adding the messages that explain what you need to do, but this aspect of the game still needs work. not that the goals weren't clear, it just feels a little weird finding doing creepy things like finding a dead body in the house and the character you're playing doesn't even make any remarks about it. you might consider taking ques from games like morningstar, ghostscape, or being one.
nice game...but just what is it with these kinds of games and there being only one character who has a voice? i am so sick and tired of playing online games where the characters are MUTES!!
i like the power-ups, but it seems like they were the only improvement you made to this game aside from the different levels. i mean, i like the music tracks, but i would have liked to see a couple new songs too. the power-ups were cool, except for the one that blows you skyward. might i suggest enabling the players to control the direction in which Sushi Cat is blown?
