hey- just checked into this game again, and I love some of the new updates! The upgrade prices seemed more balanced, and I think the last shop before the Gauntlet was a wonderful idea. I think the ability to move pieces less than their maximum distance will give the players more options to win through skill rather than luck alone, and it'll be interesting to see how that affects the use of the splash upgrade. Overall, I commend you for listening to your players' comments. One thing, however - the new controls do seem less somewhat less polished than the previous ones, which felt very smooth due to the minimal distance one had to move on the screen to make each move. In a card game, it seemed very appropriate to have the mouse mostly centered around the cards. Since the movements are more specific now, I get the change was necessary, but that is the one thing I do miss from the old version. Thank you for your development, this is one of my favorite games on this site :)

Yeah, the change was necessary - I dropped the wheel with a heavy heart, it was pretty polarizing but I really liked it, I think it worked out well for such a nonstandard piece of UI. I will be adding keyboard support very shortly, which will obviously be different than the wheel but should make it possible to play just as snappily as before.
